it's randomized. I guess you just have to post something really witty and the tf needs to see it or the tf will post a request thread where you can specifically request a tag or two.

Last year, around this time, the Tag Fairy went on a big Tagging spree. And she/he made a thread and you could request your tags and she/he gave it to you. That's how I got mine. That was a VERY rare occasion though. Normally you get tags at complete random. But offering chocolate to the tag fairy is supposed to help.
