Whatever on the time period, the point is, things have changed and the South isn't even close to being like that anymore. Take a look at who is president. I dunno about other southern states, but Obama got NC's vote.

I also admit that to be true. But, it was not every single person in those states. It was just those people.

It was like my grandfather in South Africa during the Apartheid. He was white. And you know what? He died in prison fighting against the Apartheid.


And the KKK hate everyone. In addition, they are pretty rare. They mostly just stay in one general area...Georgia

Exactly... not everybody is racist...
Three years ago a girl from Vermont moved down here. She was in my home room and wouldn't talk to any of us. When the teacher asked her why she wouldn't talk to anyone [including the teacher] the girl said "Because you all are a bunch of racist idiots and I feel like a terrible person for even being in the South." The teacher called her mom and the mom agreed with the girl! The mom was all "We would never even live in the South if my hubby hadn't had to move here because of his job! blahblahblah don't try to teach my daughter your racist ways! blahblahblah" The girl or her mom didn't even know any of us and assumed we were all "racist idiots"

If you think about it, everyone's a little bit racist sometimes. Some just more than others.
