Yeah, they really do! I tend to "trip" over my words, as if it was a tongue twister...my parents sent me to Mexico about 2 years ago to live with my uptight aunt for about 3 months in the summer to get better with my Spanish. I learned alot but lost it all within a month when I came back xD

I took spanish for a quarter in 6th grade. Never took it again, forgot everything I learned!
I'm not all that good with taking on a language. I would love to learn more ASL, Italian, Spanish (it's very useful down here), and Yiddish.

I'm in Chicago, there's LOTS of Hispanics here so it helps, I guess...but then again, it's not so cool.
Like if you go up to someone:
"Hey, I speak Spanish."
"Oh, really? So do I!"

It's not as cool as speaking French or some cool language, EVERYONE is starting to speak Spanish...

Yes ma'am. I'm close to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami so we have lots of spanish speakers here.
Oh I see what you mean. Haha, it's pretty common here to have lots of people speaking spanish.
