The quiet pool by the BC - Tidal Pool

Now the Dunes pool will be resurfaced from April 28th until perhaps May 16th.

We can use SAB and "Tidal Pool." Do you need a key to enter the building from that pool? I seem to remember trying my BCV key and it didn't work. Maybe it was in the evening, and maybe I didn't try hard enough. Does anyone know if the door to the building is usually locked by the Tidal Pool? I'm assuming that's the pool that's very near the walking path around the Boardwalk. IF you are walking from Epcot, you get to it before you get to SAB.

Yes, that's the Tidal Pool.

I imagine the door is locked overnight anyway. Perhaps during the day too now.

I have used the side door along the path to enter BC if I'm stopping at the Marketplace before heading to the villas (especially if it's raining or hot . But on a recent trip, that door was locked and my key would not work. I'm sure this was well before 10pm.

Yes, but for my stay, BVC's quiet pool, Dunes Cove Pool will be closed, and so I want to use another "quiet" pool, just for a quick dip. Also, for instance SAB doesn't open until 10AM and I like to go for a swim before checking out, so the quiet pools work for that. The problem is, I think the best access to the Tidal Pool, BC "quiet pool" is from inside the building, and if I can't go back that way because the door is locked, I want to know. I really don't remember the layout of that area. I know there's a coin laundry/rest rooms.

That's what it was, we were coming to the villas from Epcot, trying to cut through the BC (maybe we wanted to stop at the store) and our key wouldn't open the door to the building that's close to that pool. I sure hope we have an easier access to that pool than having to walk around the building. Well, getting there will be fine, the door isn't locked from the inside, maybe it was just because the time was late that the door was locked.

Even if the door is locked, it's not much further at all to walk outside. Just use the back path that you would use between Epcot and BCV. That path is very close to the Tidal pool.
