The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

Hey, I'll be in the World on Connor's birthday!

Is it wrong of me to want to toast your son with the slushie margarita I plan on having at Epcot?:lmao:

I love the photo of Connor with his tattoo, it looks so cool!

And I really, really love the photos of Chelsea with your husband.

Wow...they're so...her. She's really being herself and you can tell she's having a great time. I love it!

Again, I love reading about your kids, and see, you were flexible on your trip. You may not realize it, but you switched ADRs around when you were having fun. You're on the way to my pirate fly by the seat of our pants style of touring, I can tell.;)

great update! can't wait to see the drawings of winnie the pooh. (i almost wrote "drawings of pooh" and then realized that probably wouldn't sound very good! :rotfl: )

Chelsea is very excited about middle school. I think I would be more of a basket case if she weren't coming to my school -- it helps that I know all of her teachers and that I will be able to keep an eye on her (from a distance, of course)! If she were going to a different middle school, I would probably need a prescription for xanax! ;)

My kids are in my school, and we love it. They come for money when they need it. Yes, they even speak to me in the halls when they see me.

Great updates, Thanks for sharing.

Have a great weekend!

great update! can't wait to see the drawings of winnie the pooh. (i almost wrote "drawings of pooh" and then realized that probably wouldn't sound very good! :rotfl: )

Ooooooohhhhh! She said pooh! :rotfl:

Catching up tonight after being away for a week. Cute kids and good pictures.

I love the pic of Chelsea and Charles playing air guitar! Too cute, as is Connor's gecko tattoo--I am very surprised it lasted two weeks! High quality stuff. :thumbsup2

That's too funny about Connor and Chelsea "tag-teaming" it--reminds me a bit of my brother and me! Though eventually I grew out of it and became the eternal good child. :rotfl: ;)

And I think we may be posting about Marrakesh at close to the same time, if you do yours Sunday! :goodvibes

I too loved the air guitar pic - classic! And Connor looks adorable, per usual.

Side note, CP, when I saw ya in my sub list, you've got over 50,000 views! Holy shabitz!

You rock! Another great update & LOVE the teasers! :cool1:

I need to get my hands on a copy of Roger Rabbit. I think my kiddos have seen the movie though. Many many years ago, I dated a guy (named Roger) that had a small RR tattoo on his chest. I think he should have went with a gecko instead ;-)

I had the kids watch Raiders of the Lost Ark, so that they would understand the Indy show at DHS.

I love this picture!!!!!

Good to know that the tatoo lasted so long! It is cute!

I also love the Backlot Express... your husband has a memory like mine.... sounds so much like him!

The animation stop must have been fun... sorry you had another Toy Story Mania incident. I am glad that Connor got to try the ride again... and you got to do some shopping! I always love getting some alone time at WDW!

Now I really want to do the drawing thing again just to see what character they would have us do. We did Mickey Mouse the last time. I even bought the how to book (then never tried to draw anything from it)

Those are great pictures! It's so much fun when the kids will get into being silly for them!

Another great update Jackie!! I SO love the pics of Chelsea and Charles---they are great!! I can see that years from now being in a slideshow or on display at her wedding----AAWWWW!!!! Sounds like a really great day at DHS! Can't wait to see those illustrations!! We have never done that--but we will have to check that out next time! Have a great weekend kiddo! Jen

I guess the Marrakesh review will be next week :lmao:

Oh did you buy a Photopass CD? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it.

Yes, it will be towards the middle to the end of the week, I think.

No, we didn't end up buying the CD -- we just didn't really pose for too many photos.

I glad you skipped Boma and spent more time in the park. And I like Backlot Express as well. But the Studios in general need better counter service restaurants.

They just don't seem to have many covered CS places -- we used to love one called the Soundstage (or something like that) where Playhouse Disney is now. :(

I want to see the pictures of Winnie the Pooh. I like the picture of Charles and Chelsea playing air guitar.

They are pretty funny -- Charles's is actually the best of the bunch.

I just adore how it looks like Chelsea is having the time of her life!

I adore this picture. I love his reflection in the car.

Chelsea's pictures are adorable too, so cute and fun. I think she has been watching America's Next Top Model.

Great Update CP! Thank you for entertaining me in my last hour of work, it is much appreciated! :goodvibes

I had never noticed his reflection before you pointed that out! That is kind of cool, isn't it?

She very well could have -- I have had to put the kibosh on a couple of shows recently that she tried to watch.

I updated early in the day just for you! :thumbsup2

Awesome update! I can't wait to see the animation pics! I know I'm horrible at it, so mine are pretty funny! My brother pulled a TSM on it too, he gave up, I hope I can get him in it again this trip!

Hopefully, he will be willing to give it another try! I liked it because it was something a little bit different than the usual.

Love the updates. They really are one of the highlights of my day. DHS is really one of our favorite parks and now with the new Toy Story ride it'll be even that much more.

Thank you! I am so glad that you are enjoying them so much! :goodvibes

I have always loved DHS -- I love that glamorous Hollywood feel to it (I am a huge movie fan)!

Conner's tattoo looked awesome!!:cool1:

And it was only $7.00, and they put it on for him. A bargain by Disney standards!

I think I'm going to have to implement a Disney movie watching plan! The younger kids haven't seen half of the movies and characters they're going to run into... (Roger Rabbit included.) Bad Disney Mom, BAD!

 That's a great idea about the movie watching plan -- it will help pass the time, too!

Great update (as always!)! Love the Tattoo!

So glad he got to enjoy TSM the second time around. I'm excited to see that ride first hand.

And looking forward to your Marrakesh review!

Isn't the Animator's Studio fun? Sorry Chelsea got frustrated. My Goofy did too. It can be hard.

Allyson

Thanks! :goodvibes

You'll be able to do the single rider line with TSM, also, which should make it quicker for you!

I was glad that we were finally able to try out Marrakesh!

Chelsea is a perfectionist and just could not handle the fact that her picture didn't look like the Disney trained artist's. :sad2:

Cracked me up that Chelsea pulled a TSM!

I love the pics of her also, esp with her dad.

Glad that Connor got a 2nd chance at TSM and enjoyed it.

I love the tattoo. Cool that it lasted so long.

Thanks for another great update!

Thanks! :goodvibes

I was so glad that both Charles and Chelsea looked good in those pictures. I was going to let her put them in her room, but realized I wanted them out where I could see them.

I kept waiting for it to disappear, but it stayed on for a good long while -- much longer than mine and Chelsea's henna tattoos that we got at Epcot.

great update and pics.

glad he was fine for the rest of the time.

nice tattoo.

Thank you! Yes, it's always nice when the children are in good moods -- it makes the vacation so much more enjoyable! ;)

I didn't know Chelsea was a rock star!!

I'm glad Connor enjoyed himself on TSM this time!

 She certainly has the stance for it, doesn't she?

Connor talked a lot about it when he got off it the second time.

Hey, I'll be in the World on Connor's birthday!

Is it wrong of me to want to toast your son with the slushie margarita I plan on having at Epcot?:lmao:

I love the photo of Connor with his tattoo, it looks so cool!

I definitely think you should toast Connor's birthday with a slushy margarita while at Epcot, and this is why...while it may be his birthday, just remember, that on that day nine years before I was in excrutiating pain because I had no epidural (I wanted one, trust me)...so, really, you could look at it as toasting all my hard work on September 19th.

$7.00 and it lasted FOREVER. I bet your DS would like one, too. :thumbsup2

Those pics did really capture Chelsea, didn't they?

Hurray, I was flexible!!!

great update! can't wait to see the drawings of winnie the pooh. (i almost wrote "drawings of pooh" and then realized that probably wouldn't sound very good! :rotfl: )

 Now, you see why we call refusing to do something "pulling a TSM" at our house as opposed to going with what Chelsea did and calling it, "pulling a Pooh."

My kids are in my school, and we love it. They come for money when they need it. Yes, they even speak to me in the halls when they see me.

Great updates, Thanks for sharing.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks -- I hope you are having a great weekend, too!

Chelsea will have to speak to me since she will be in my language arts class for the next three years! :scared1:

Ooooooohhhhh! She said pooh! :rotfl:

Catching up tonight after being away for a week. Cute kids and good pictures.

Thank you! I am so glad that you had fun at camp but am selfishly glad that you are home so we get more updates.

I love the pic of Chelsea and Charles playing air guitar! Too cute, as is Connor's gecko tattoo--I am very surprised it lasted two weeks! High quality stuff. :thumbsup2

Or toxic, skin-altering acrylics -- take your pick.

That's too funny about Connor and Chelsea "tag-teaming" it--reminds me a bit of my brother and me! Though eventually I grew out of it and became the eternal good child. :rotfl: ;)

Funny it was the same with my brother and me, but now I am the golden child with the job and family, while he hikes the Appalachian Trail and bums off my parents.

And I think we may be posting about Marrakesh at close to the same time, if you do yours Sunday! :goodvibes

You will beat me to it -- I think Marrakesh is in three updates. You know I like to divide up our days into like a gazillion parts. ;)

I too loved the air guitar pic - classic! And Connor looks adorable, per usual.

Side note, CP, when I saw ya in my sub list, you've got over 50,000 views! Holy shabitz!

You rock! Another great update & LOVE the teasers! :cool1:

Thanks!!! :goodvibes It really picked up once I started the TR part of it.

I need to get my hands on a copy of Roger Rabbit. I think my kiddos have seen the movie though. Many many years ago, I dated a guy (named Roger) that had a small RR tattoo on his chest. I think he should have went with a gecko instead ;-)

:rotfl: about the ex-boyfriend!

I used to love that movie when I was a kid -- I liked all the nods to other movies.

I had the kids watch Raiders of the Lost Ark, so that they would understand the Indy show at DHS.

We wanted to see the Indy show, but never seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Next year, I guess.

Thank you! :goodvibes

They had lots of Disney tattoos also, but Connor went with the gecko.

I love alone time at WDW -- sometimes it is in short supply though.

these pictures are great.

party on Wayne....party on Garth....

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I would so say that Chelsea was channeling her inner Wayne, but she has never seen the movie. Charles, on the other hand, probably still remembers it all by heart!

Now I really want to do the drawing thing again just to see what character they would have us do. When did Mickey Mouse the last time. I even bought the how to book (then never tried to draw anything from it)

They must have several different ones that they do. For instance, on Dawn's TR they did Pooh full on, but our Winnie-the-Poohs were in profile.

Those are great pictures! It's so much fun when the kids will get into being silly for them!

Those are always my favorites -- the silly ones!

Jen

Hope you are having a great weekend, Jen! Thanks! They will definitely be in a wedding slideshow along with hundreds of others from WDW!

Great update! Can't wait to see your relaxing/touring resort day!

Thanks! Actually, it was just a short touring our resort walk -- most of Friday we spent at World Showcase. I did get lots of pics of POFQ on our walk to share with all of you! :goodvibes

Sorry missed several chapters!

I was laughing so much about the phrase pulling a TSM :rotfl: Glad he finally used his gun second time around!

Can't wait to see your drawings, my girls love doing that, hope Chelsea will one day too!

Happy belated Birthday to Chelsea, my DD was 12 on the 16th, where has the time gone!

They just don't seem to have many covered CS places -- we used to love one called the Soundstage (or something like that) where Playhouse Disney is now. :(

I love the ABC Commissary! Do you ever eat there?

I definitely think you should toast Connor's birthday with a slushy margarita while at Epcot, and this is why...while it may be his birthday, just remember, that on that day nine years before I was in excrutiating pain because I had no epidural (I wanted one, trust me)...so, really, you could look at it as toasting all my hard work on September 19th.

Oh, I will definitely raise a glass to your efforts, my friend. And to Connor's birthday. Does anyone think my DH will think I'm crazy if I insist on making a photo op out of this?:lmao:

$7.00 and it lasted FOREVER. I bet your DS would like one, too. :thumbsup2

I think he would enjoy it. Did they have lots of different designs?

Those pics did really capture Chelsea, didn't they?

They do, I loved to see her goofing around.

Hurray, I was flexible!!!

And you didn't even know it.;)

Oh, I will definitely raise a glass to your efforts, my friend. And to Connor's birthday. Does anyone think my DH will think I'm crazy if I insist on making a photo op out of this?:lmao:
I totally took pictures on the cruise with the DIS and LapuLapuettes in mind. I suggest not telling DH. Just act really silly and tell him you want a picture. :lmao:
