The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

I LOVE the tags! I want to do something (with some of my 70someodd MHs) like that for our luggage. :)

So what you're telling me is that I'm trading attitude for rampant testosterone. :rotfl:

::yes::

And it doesn't ever dissipate. The BFs 34. Still rampant.

Bret just wants women to want him.

Ha! So, so true.

It should be called "Rock of Lust" or "Do You Want to Spend 8 Weeks Making Out with Brett Michaels (While He Makes Out with Other Girls) in A Short Skirt and Wee Top?"

I have the entire season on the DVR and haven't watched it since somewhere around the 3rd or 4th episode. I was so disgusted with the girls (Destiny and Megan, in particular) that I had to stop for fear of throwing something at the TV. I'll probably watch them all in one sitting now that it's over and I know who won.

Rant over and I'm now all caught up!

:flower3:

I'm all caught up! :dancer:

As always, your PTR (and mini-TR) entries make me smile. Being away from the Dis for a few weeks took away some of my sadness of not going to Disney anytime soon. But, reading your TR just brought it all back ;) I want to go now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we'll have to try out Typhoon Lagoon next time.

And I love your Dis tags! So cute :)

Looks like you got some really cute things from Jen :)

Wow that looks really fun :)
I've only been to NYC once. Did a lot of stuff, saw a lot of things I was the common tourist. My highlights were the shows though RENT and Phantom of the Opera!
Never saw the WoD store though. Hmm... still very VERY cool though!

cannot wait to hear about what was said about the cruise!!

back from camping, out for a long weekend!

Lori

What a nice thing to do for each other!! Spreading the Disney magic even outside the parks!!

I am watching the Samantha Brown Disney special again on the Travel channel and June seems too far away!! I hate to push my life along, but I want the time to go faster!!

Ah, the sisterhood of the DIS.:goodvibes

That is awesome that you were able to send her the book, and what a nice treat for the kids. Jen seems able to spread the NY Disney love everywhere! ;)

Yes, she does! :goodvibes

that was so sweet of her.

I have yet to go to go see the Statue of Liberty. :sad2: maybe one day.

I think it's harder to see the landmarks in the places where you live, because you think to yourself, "I can always go to that." I know that is true for me.

What a sweet Dis gift! I bet the kids were surprised. Love Connor's clay creation. :confused3

Connor is definitely unique. :rotfl:

The kids were very surprised!!!

What great tags! So I'll for sure be able to spot you. :thumbsup2

My Baggalini is also DIS Green...I'm wondering how many DISers will say hi. :)

You know I will be saying, "Hi" :).

What a great package to receive!

Your kiddos look so happy to have received everything.

All the NY stuff is adorable!

So nice of Jen!

It is all adorable and it was super sweet of Jen.

It brightened their day!

Connor even said this morning, "I just can't believe there is a World of Disney in New York City." He is all amazement!

Conner...he's got the funny gene....watch out CP.......;)

You and Jen are examples of why I love it here on the DIS.....Thanks to both of you for your kindness to each other....

Awww, gee, shucks! :flower3:

Connor keeps us in stitches!!! He is always saying and doing things that are off-the-wall!

I've been a bad, bad reader :( I can't get caught up at the moment, but I will be back soon! Can't wait to read about your mini-trip and to hear all of the details for your summer trip! :)

I am so glad that you stopped by! :goodvibes

I LOVE the tags! I want to do something (with some of my 70someodd MHs) like that for our luggage. :)

It's super easy and lots of fun! I love any reason to use ribbon.

Yes, the DIS boards do inspire bad Disney longings!

Don't be a stranger! :goodvibes

We went LOTS when I was in middle school and high school -- my mother was in her Broadway/Michael Crawford phase so any chance, we were flying up there. It was sooo much fun! I want my kids to be able to experience it too!

cannot wait to hear about what was said about the cruise!!

Lori

Did you have fun camping?

Charles has pretty much given the go-ahead on the cruise -- we just have to decide dates and save for the deposit. :thumbsup2

I can sympathize completely. Now that the weather is warm, I have a BAD Disney itch -- it's worse than spring fever!!!

I'm so glad you and your kids liked your Disney treats :goodvibes

A trip to NYC would be great! Your kids would love it. So much to do and see. While it's not Disney, it's still exciting.

How many weeks left of school?

I'd love to go to NYC. My DH has been 2x with work and ain't so crazy about it(superfast paced)-but he is not crazy over downtown New Orleans either and never has been ever since we met when we were 16! He does want us to go together though to NYC the next time he is there on business. He enjoyed seeing Trinity church and stayed at the Millenium Hilton, by the trade centers memorial. He wants to go back with me to see the Statue of Liberty and I want to see WoD and American Girl Place. I would love to see a Disney broadway play, too. He stayed at the Waldorf this last time but swears he likes the Millenium Hilton better! I was a little green abou the whole thing, esp b/c my hot water heater went out just before he left. He got it fixed quickly before he left!!;)

Camping was fun and relaxing. My answers to your questions are on my TR thread!

Glad your DH is on board with the cruise!

Hiya :) Just stopping in to say hi and how much of a disney rush I am on right now.:cool1: I mean seriously, I bought a few new outfits including some Tinkerbell capris to wear to the California Grill. I bought new shoes, a mini-tripod (Gorillapod- and it's pink!:cutie: ) for my camera. I bought two personalized messenger bags from Disney (Hot pink with tinkerbell:goodvibes and lavender with Remy). Finally, I just got a bunch of Tinkerbell and Alice in Wonderland stuff from Bath and Body Works. I still have plenty more I want to buy as well, and probably about 50$ into a few Disney songs off of iTunes.:surfweb:

It's a good thing we only have about 40 days left! (In fuzzy-rounding down-Disney math, of course):teacher: :dance3: :cool1:

Thank goodness Rock of Love is over. If it got to the point where Bret was wearing bandanas bedazzled with his own name, I might officially never be able to watch television again.
It might be difficult to read 'Bret' sequined on a bandana. However, I think we'd be able to read his name clear as day if he had it shining from a pair of Mickey ears! :earboy2:

Yes, thank you again!

I have been planning NYC -- well, looking at websites and all if that counts for planning. I am thinking a few days next spring break or next summer. The Hotel Edison is where we stayed when I went with my parents and it's still there -- close to most things we would want to do. Although I about had a heart attack when I looked at ticket prices for Broadway shows!!!

Four more weeks!

:lmao: Your ideas for NYC are just like my own! Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, WOD, American Girl Place, Broadway shows, Central Park, and the MMA.

I'll be heading over to your TR to read about camping. :goodvibes

I never made an actual decision to start a pin collection. It just kind of happened. The kids have been collecting pins since our Christmas trip in 2004, so I guess I was feeling left out of the fun or something.

In October, I bought Tinker Bell as a witch:

In March/April I bought a Coronado Springs resort pin and a Pirate and Princess Party pin:

And then you have seen these two pins:

With five pins to my name, I think I am almost ready to graduate to a lanyard for the June trip. I think I would like a hot pink one -- either with Tinker Bell or Mouse Heads. That, of course, would mean I would need to get a few more pins to decorate it while we are there. That's the plan anyways!

I love the pin collection! I heartily approve of the one from the pirate and princess party. ;)

What a great collection though. I used to collect, but eventually just had too many. I wasn't even displaying them, so I decided to put them in a shadow box, now I can see them every day. :goodvibes

I love the pins! Where did you find the P&P party one? I'm sure my kids are going to want one.

Love the P&P pin!! I'm a sucker for anything with Mickey and Minnie on it!!

Congratulations!! You are well on your way to a lanyard. And after that, it's only a hop to a pin board!! Chuck ordered our traders this week and I can't wait to see what comes.

Only four more weeks of school? When do your kids get out? We don't get out until June5!!!:scared1: This will be the first Memorial day in a long time that we won't be at WDW!!:guilty:

Thanks! I am looking forward to getting some more in six weeks  ! I am going to make a pin board (nts4wdw posted a pic of hers on her TR) over the summer.

You know how all the stores on the left side of Main Street (when looking at the Castle) are interconnected starting with the Emporium? Well, we found the pin in the one closest to the Castle (near Casey's). They also had some cute t-shirts, but I couldn't justify $22 for one at the time since it was a quick trip (now I wish I had gone ahead and gotten it).

I was actually thinking about you today and how close your trip is. I'm so excited for you! :goodvibes

Love the P&P pin!! I'm a sucker for anything with Mickey and Minnie on it!!

I am becoming that way, too. Mickey, Minnie, and Tink!

The pin board is definitely going to happen this summer!

Where do you order pins from?

We get out May 23rd! I can't wait!

After the kids get out I have two days pf post-planning on the following Tuesday and Wednesday but those days are a breeze!
