The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

It's almost over? How did that happen? I love both Chelsea and Connor's dancing pictures. Is the Sultan's Punch very coconutty? I don't like coconut, but the name makes me want to try it.

Charles had decided he wanted a soccer jersey. Guess which one he chose? One from the Chelsea football club -- how perfect was that?

:rotfl: When we were at Epcot last week (was it really just last week, my goodness) I wanted one of those soooooooo bad. Sounds like you guys had so much fun. I hope you'll be able to go back. ;)

Great pics, your kids are just too cute!

Thank you!

That Colado sounds worthy of being on a Drink To Do list! LOL! I love Coladas too and almond is a fave of mine.

You will love it then! It would go very nicely with your Tangerine Cafe dinner!

Where is dinner, Teppen Edo or Tokyo Dining? I guess I need to wait till the next installment and find out! Both sound yummy!

Teppan Edo -- we peeked into Tokyo Dining and the decor is fabulous!

As for robes/kimonos my Grumpy brought me back a gorgeous silk robe from his trip to Vietnam. It is reversable and has the most amazing hand embroidery on it. I really do love it!

Love the pickle thing too, it always makes me laugh. I have seen it before and it is just funny, a pickle on a Christmas tree!

The robe sounds wonderful!

I know it -- I wonder how the tradition started in the first place?

Can't you just think of more stuff to tell us to drag it out???? Heck, you can even make it up we won't know.

Great idea! :thumbsup2 Think of it as a creative writing exercise.

You guys are too funny!!! There are still four more updates!!!

I think a recap of past trips would be fantabulous!

I thought of that for next year's June PTR since I will probably start it pretty early -- I won't be able to help myself. And there are a lot of past trips!!!

Sultan's Punch...got it....gotta try that!!!!!!

I can't wait to read about all the stuff you try on your solo trip!

Anoter great update!

I love how Chelsea's teeth and lips match her outfit in the dancing-with-the-drummers shot.

Thanks! Chelsea's exact words when she saw the pictures were actually, "At least it matched my outfit." :rotfl:

Glad you found a way to get back to UK to shop. And I also think it's cool that Charles selected the Chelsea jersey.

I thought it was sooo sweet!

You make me want to spend lots of time perusing the WS slowwwwlly.

I was thinking - wasn't there a time, in the early EPCOT Center years, when the only alcohol available in the park was beer and it was only at UK and Germany or UK and US or something?

World Showcase has so much to see and we really took our time this year. It was nice to just meander.

I don't remember. :confused3

I am also sad that your report is winding down; however, the timing is PERFECT for me, as we are less than 2 weeks from our trip! :thumbsup2

party: I can't wait to read all about your trip! It's going to be fantastic!

Awesome pictures! I love all the drinks! I knew about the pickle thing but thats really cool that you got one! I love little traditions like that, so cute!

Thank you! Christmas traditions are so fun -- we have quite a few at our house and enjoy adopting others whenever we get a chance. We are suckers for holidays at our house.

Jackie I'm going to cry. I cannot believe your tr is almost over. I can't believe it's coming close to the end. I don't want it to end. I absolutely love reading about the adventures your family has had getting ready for the trip and on the trip. Now you MUST plan another trip. Let's keep our fingers crossed that packages come out within the next two weeks. Then you can start your ptr!!!

Don't cry yet -- there are still four more updates!!!

All my fingers and toes are crossed! :thumbsup2

I love the pic of Chelsea and her blue teeth. So cute! Did you get those smoothies at the place in Japan where they can add sake to it? I'm going to assume Chelsea and Connor skipped the sake :lmao:

 They were at a stand as we left Morocco and headed towards Japan -- still Morocco though. Which I felt was so ironic that our favorite drinks came from a country that is predominantly Muslim so most of their population would not even be drinking alcohol! :confused3

I'm glad you were able to browse through the shops in England. Are you going to post a pic of Charles' jersey?

And the Sultan Colada sounds so delish. I've been compiling of list of must-try drinks and restaurants just from your tr.

It will be on the souvenir post!

Glad that I can help with ideas -- heaven knows I have gotten tons from other DISers TRs!

I don't know -- this summer has flown by for me. Next time I am slowing down the TR!

Thanks! They love being silly -- it's second nature to them.

Ummm...it tastes just like a Pina Colada except with almond flavoring added -- I love both coconut and pineapple so I don't really know how coconutty it is.

Charles always has a hard time finding things he really likes for souvenirs so I was glad he found it.

We did have a blast. We will be back -- it's just a question of how soon (in two and a half months or in ten months).

Are you going to do a trip report?

Okay, I am here! So don't start with me homegirl! I have much love for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eventhough you take Jen's side and gang up on me! :rotfl2:
By the way, I know I told you before, but you have a beautiful family. The next time you are in this area, we should do lunch or something. :goodvibes

What kind of gift does the finder get? The kids and I are trying to figure that one out.

well, since we don't have kids we don't exactly get a gift for that. actually, we don't buy each other anything for christmas - instead we usually buy something for the house. i know......how boring! but i'm sure we will begin this tradition once we start a family! let me know what you guys decide to do.

:rotfl: I only gang up on you with Jen because I know what a fabulous PTR you would write!!!

Thank you!!!

We do need to do lunch sometime!!! It would be so much fun!!!

That's the way Charles and I are, too, with gifts at Christmas -- I usually just convince him to put money towards the yearly Disney vacation. The kids always rack up though.

I will keep you posted on the continuing pickle ornament saga! :thumbsup2

great update and pics.

sad it is almost over, really have been enjoying it.

The blue lips I know all to well. Sissy had them when I had my Moroccotini.

I have no idea what is in it but it is in the kiosk right by the gate where the characters go in and out for Morocco. It was so good.

I'm begining to think that I'm the only person who does WS sober!;)

I love Chelsie's blue lips! I have several pictures of my sons with blue and green lips!:rotfl2:

I know this is hard to believe, but I've never had more than a few drinks while touring the World Showcase.

I too love C's blue lips.

I hope you have a good dinner with my Peeps.

Interestingly, we didn't feel buzzed at all -- I think all the walking kept down any effects from the alcohol.

Thanks!

We never drink much at World Showcase -- this trip was a record at three drinks each.

Chelsea is always making us laugh!

One of the best of the whole trip! :thumbsup2

We have been doing the pickle ornament for several years now, the kids love it! very cute...

We did have yummy drinks at World Showcase!

We can't wait for Christmas now!

The water park pic is from spring break when we went down to WDW for the Pirate and Princess Party. I did a mini-TR earlier in the PTR. Here's the link to the post about the water park:

C'mon down and let's go to Food and Wine together!

My room is nowhere near ready since I had to pack everything away so that they could paint during the summer. I am not even going to think about it until after the faculty meeting on Friday (students don't arrive until next Thursday so I should have time). I am just going to enjoy these last few days.

Glad I could provide ideas! I need to go back because I already have seen several on other TRs that I want to try!

The shock isn't good. :sad2:

Thanks Jackie,

I thought I missed it in your TR, sounds like you all had a great time. I would like to try a WP when Emma is alittle older.
Keep us posted if you go in October, what is your ADR for??
