The Producers, Mama Mia or Hairspray?

We are going to Toronto this summer we think. Which one of these shows would you go to or have you seen? Last time we saw the Lion King and loved it. Thanks

I would love to see The Producers, but I'm usually up for any kind of live theater.

well, tell me who's going and I'll tell you what I think.

all three are great. The Producers, the emphasis is on comedy, not the music. and it can be quite raunchy at times.

Mama Mia, the emphasis is on the music. if you don't like Abba, don't go.

Hairspray, it's on the music and the dancing. it's got a real 60's pre-British invasion beat.

I'll pick The Producers. Just because their tickets are so hard to come by in NYC.

actually, the tickets for The Producers are much easeir to get these days -- it was only when Lane and Broderick returned to the show for a limited run that it was impossible to get tickets. Hairspray was equally hard to get at first, but now that there's been a cast change it's easier. no Harvey, though. Mama Mia was never a hard ticket to find, though, but it has been a popular show.

If I was going with my husband I would see The Producers. If I was going with friends, Mama Mia.

I am not interested in Hairpray.

I saw Hairspray and it was fab!! I highly recommend it.

It will be just my DH and I ages 45 and 46. DH would probably prefer more comedy and less music. I'm up for either. Some raunchy is fine just not the whole play. I'm trying to think about what else we've seen in a play format but its mostly disney because we took the kids when they were younger. Oh and Cirque. Thanks for the advice we appreciate it as we think they all sound good.

I have seen Mama Mia and Producers (twice!), but not Hairspray. Of the two I have seen, I would recommend Producers (so would DH).

If I were choosing for me, I would pick Hairspray since I have seen the other 2!!

We've seen the Producers and Mamma Mia, and will be seeing Hairspray on our next trip (July).

The Producers was really good, Mamma Mia we saw twice because it was OUTSTANDING (in our opinion), and I've heard great things about Hairspray- so we'll be biting the bullet in July.

You really can't lose, whichever way you decide to go!!

I've seen all three and if my DH were going I'd pick "The Producers" for him. He would not like either of the other two nearly as much. "The Producers" has more stuff for either sex............ he sees "Hairspray" and "Mama Mia" as too girl oriented. He LOVED "The Producers"
