the problem with epcot...

Seems like the park hoppers are a great idea! I never really considered this myself because of the extra cost, also for us it's been pretty easy to just do one park for one day. In case anyone was curious, here is my list of restaurants I can't decide between (both for food and atmosphere):

First Choices:
Le Cellier keep this one!
BiergartenMy brother loves this one, but I've never tried-dropped it in Oct to get LC, however on my bucket list- DH says for sure next time!:lovestruc
Chefs de France Wanted to try, but wouldn't give up LC or Cali Grill
Via Napoli No Opinion

Second Choices:
Lotus Blossom No Opinion
Restaurant MarrakeshNo Opinion
Coral Reef (been before, but would go again)Too many others in the mix to try; Been there, done that: NEXT!
Either Mexican place: Both/Either on my bucket list too

gosh, that's pretty much all of them! I'd also go to Rose and Crown just for a pint. Also on my bucket list

I think I need to investigate the no opinions a little more for our next trip, got plenty of time unfortunately:sad1: DH says I WDWed him out last year. Until then I'm living thru the DIS

I'm with everyone else....Park Hoppers AND we stay at YC/BC so we can eat at Epcot more often.

Out of your first choices....I can vouch for both Rose and Crown and Chefs de France. I'd pick Chefs given a choice....you can always stop by Rose and Crown pub for an ale or black and tan for the atmosphere! Haven't been to Le Cellier in a few years, but if you have an ADR keep it! Hard to come by...we 've enjoyed in the past. Same with Coral Reef.

Out of the two mexican options....I prefer the food at La Hacienda. Altho the atmosphere at San Angel is great.

Really...it's hard to go wrong!

:thumbsup2

Have fun no matter what!

The park hoppers are great to have to not only give you flexibility with dining but also with park hopping, spending the day at one park but wanting to see a light show at another, etc. We love the flexibility it gives us, so you may want to think about it more.

As far as your choices for dining go:
These places are keepers: Biergarten, Via Napoli, & Le Cellier (great food, but I wouldn't give up 2 credits for it so I would only go at lunch)

I've never eaten at Chefs, but it usually gets good reviews. It would probably be my next to try on your list.

Rather than Lotus Blossom, I would choose Teppan Edo. We haven't eaten there yet, but it gets GREAT reviews. We're trying it on our next trip.
Coral Reef: tried it against the less than stellar reviews (I'm willing to try anything once to determine if we like it). We were really disappointed. In fact, it was our least favorite meal of the trip. Having said that, I would scratch this restaurant off your list.
Can't speak about Restaurant Marrakesh because the menu has never appealed to us. Good luck deciding. It's part of the fun!

This is me, EVERY time! :rotfl2:
This may, we are finally going to try Teppan Edo. (We always end up at San Angel).
This past december, we finally tried Rose & crown, and next december, hopefully La Hacienda.

My kids really want to go to San Angel Inn what is good there? popcorn::

We agree it's way too hard to choose! We don't get Park Hoppers, but we spend at least 2-3 days of our 8 day base tickets in Epcot, and lately we have been booking TS lunches and dinners so we can enjoy more restaurants. We really like Les Chefs de France and Biergarten for lunch. We think they are a great value, even if we have to pay OOP and use our TS credits for dinner. Even if we're not on a DDP and are paying OOP for all our food, we find the TS lunches to be a great value because they aren't very much more than the QS meals, and we spend less on snacks.

Of course we can't do everything we want to do in one trip...we just have to return soon!

I usually don't do the dining plan either, so we generally pay OOP (for this reason we usually do TS meals at lunchtime). As for Teppan Edo, I have nothing against it, but we have an awesome place just like it at home, so it's nothing really new for us. The park hopping is something I will definitely start to consider. Either that or stay longer, or even better, plan more trips!!! :thumbsup2
