DH - Colin 39, Friend of Grumpy and provider of finances. Goes along with ‘whatever’ for a quiet life!

Me – Frances 35, Planning freak, organizer, money spender, considerably better looking and younger!
DD – Chelsea 8, Loves Princesses all things pink and girly, sweet, kind and NOT natured like her mummy.
DD – Rebecca 2, Queen of tantrums, does not like to be out done by big sis, wants and gets her way and definitely like her mummy!

Ok, here goes. Have never done one of these before and I have been known to go on a little. Best get your coffee now as it will be a long read, lol. This trip started in my imagination somewhere in 2005. I thought how fab it would be to take the girls to Walt Disney Word especially as Chelsea was such a Princess fan. At that stage Rebecca was a little baby and I figured she would pretty much fit in with anything. This will be our first holiday. Colin had suggested in 2005 that we should get booked up for 2006 (Spain or something) I thought it best to wait until 2007 and do Disney while our oldest daughter was still a Princess fan. This is where it sort of began. Fast forward to June 2006 where I was searching for Disney info so that I could start booking. I had already decided to DIY. Whilst searching for flights I got the dreaded call from the in-laws. They wanted to come with us. Oh no!! Panicking now I get into the Globespan site and book 4 seats ASAP for the 11th June 2007. The villa ive had in my sight for a while is now confirmed with the owner and deposit sent off. I can now smile sweetly and tell them how sorry I am that we are all booked up and can’t change any arrangements. Panic now over!

Ok, so armed with unimaginable amounts of Disney info I set about planning the most fabulous trip I can. Done mainly with Princess Chelsea in mind! I want her to remember this trip forever and look back at what a wonderful time she had (the brownie points I will also gain as her mother) We have 16 nights booked in a 3 bedroom Villa in the Clermont area, 4 economy seats in a Globespan plane and a four door economy car which we hope will be upgraded! Our adrs are Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique followed by CRT for Lunch, Princess Brekkie at Epcot. Crystal palace for brekkie and the fabby one is Perfectly Princess tea party with a limo to take us! The tea party is also a surprise for Chelsea and will not be revealed until the day itself. Rebecca is too young to go unfortunately.

3rd June 2007

Well here we are 1 week before we should have our cases all locked up for departure the next morning. Spent some of the weekend going through the cases for the 100th time lol. Colin even makes the comment of how many more times are you going through them before we leave. Went and bought a few last minute essentials. Earplanes for all of us although Colin doesn’t seem so keen on using them. We will see. Kids are unaware that I am going to shove these in their ears at present and there may be some fighting with Rebecca over this. Chelsea will be easily talked around though. Next Saturday is our local gala day so shopping is limited to basic food necessities then. Chelsea is growing ever more excited by the day and Rebecca is joining in with her although I am not sure she knows exactly what’s happening being only two. We are officially on the last week of countdown and boy it has been long getting here. Everything is sorted except for some case tweaking. I am extremely excited and Colin says he will be really excited when he leaves his office on Friday.

10th June 2007

Wahoo!!! Can’t believe we are actually off tomorrow. Kids are really excited and I am getting stressed as to whether I have packed enough. Have I forgotten anything? I begin to hit meltdown mode and Colin is frequently telling me to chill out! We have family coming and going all day to say goodbye and this only heightens my stress levels. Eventually get the girls settled in bed and hit the sack ourselves. Can I sleep??? Of course I cant, lol.
