Day 12 MGM Studios
We have an adr at H&V for the Playhouse Disney breakfast this morning at 9.15am. At arrival to the park the storm troopers are giving us all a slagging off which is really funny. We arrive at H&V and this was a lovely breakfast and Rebecca enjoyed getting up and doing some dancing around with the characters. I committed the cardinal Disney sin this morning and forgot the cameras. We proceeded to buy a disposable at the park for $30. Guess what?? We lost it later in the day so no pics for daytime.
We headed straight for the voyage of the little mermaid and followed that with Beauty and the Beast. We got a fastpass for the TOT and had a wander around the shops before going on it. Right at the front of the queue Chelsea decides again that she does not want to do it so its all the way back with her, lol. I go back on by myself and really love the theming on this ride. Once I come off Colin goes straight on after me.
Due to the Star Wars attractions the park is heaving. We do a couple of walk throughs and hit the Toy story arcade. Rebecca starts getting tired so we decide to head back for a break. Before we leave we pick up fastpass for Rock n Roller coaster.
After a break and dinner we head back to MGM. Rebecca has broken my watch and we dont know the time for our fastpass. Quick trip to the Jewellery store here and in my haste I pick out the cheapest looking watch and ask for it. It is very busy and I assume that it will be $60 max. Big mistake!!! The watch cost $133 and I was too embarrassed to say no!!! I leave kicking myself in the butt and cursing Rebecca for breaking my perfectly good watch, lol. Colin is NOT impressed and I tell a white lie that it was $80. Stupid me put the box in the bottom of the buggy for him to find later, lol. I did try the wind must have blown it in there trick. Didnt work, lol. Ah well at least we made the fastpass!!!
The fastpass queue had a wait of 30mins and Chelsea did this twice. Once with her Dad and once with me. By the time we got out of here it was 8pm and I made the decision that we should head for Fantasmic and get a seat. The atmosphere in here was amazing. The crowd was in great spirits and with some crowd fun the time flew in. Fantasmic was amazing and well worth the wait. We left here buzzing and headed home for the night.
