The Princess is Turning 10! How Should We Celebrate?4/11 from the EAC to Italy!

What a cool movie star upgrade on the limo! I bet the girl's were feeling like true princesses riding in style up to the Poly in that!

Hmmm sounds like there might be some more surprises coming up...

That was some upgrade for the limo! I would have totally felt like a movie star.

I'm totally with you, I just do not understand people feeling like they're entitled and trying to cut in. Boo to that! We'd make a good combo. You'd go Jersey, and I'd go Chicago on 'em (South Side). Wonder how that would turn out?

Uggggghhh.....Airport drama. I followed some "shiny people" (thats what we call them at work) under a rope at MCO. The security guard saw the three of use try to line hop to a shorter line (we didn't cut in front of anyone). Well, apparently he was shutting the line down so he told us to get out of it. And I did. But the "shiny couple" kept arguing with him. It was ridiculous. So finally I said, "Knock it off. Stop arguing with him and just get in the right line". I can't stand when people think they are above the rules.

Talk about the Rock Star Treatment!!!!! WOWSA! The girls must have been laughing and giggling the whole way to the Poly. Great way to start the trip!

My princess is turning 10 this September and we actually just won a trip in a sweepstakes and will be celebrating her birthday 3 weeks early at the Poly!!!

OMG! I love "shiny people" title!! My sister has a term for the Mom's at school that act like that and I can't think of it right now! Woo hoo for you for saying something! You go girl!!! What the heck is wrong with people?!

The princesses really enjoyed the trip in the limo!!! It was a fabulous start and they ate it up!!!

We really did arrive in style! It was a lot of fun!

When I left off we had arrived at Poly in fabulous fashion!

Once out of the car our bags were turned over to bell services and we headed inside!

We went to check in! Both Queen Jen and I had done online check in so we just needed to collect our documents and our Key to World Cards.

Or so I thought! Why, oh why do I have problems with online check in?! Those of you who have followed me for awhile may remember that on the trip DH and I took in Oct it took me like 45 minutes to check in at CR for our stay at BLT because of some sort of computer glitch!

Well, here was standing at the desk at poly with another problem. There was some sort of issue with the room and the CM who was checking me in said something about the room not being available! I decided to be calm and see what happened. It was well after 5 at this point so the room had to be ready! She said something about the manager and said he was over at one on the other counters. She looked over toward him, he made eye contact with her and nodded his head at her. She then said that the room was ready! OK! She gave me all my paperwork and got the resort map to show us were to go. She circled the Hawaii building!! Wooo hooo!! Woo hoo! Woooooo hoooooo!

The Hawaii building at Poly is club level!!! I had booked 2 theme park view rooms at Poly. I had thought about booking club! I went back and forth, and back and forth some more but didn’t do it! Woo hoo for a fabulous upgrade!

Another CM escorted us to the Hawaii building and showed us the lounge etc! Then we were off to our rooms!

We ended up in the second floor of Hawaii, the same floor as the lounge! We had connecting rooms like I requested!!!

So we were in our fabulous room at our fabulous hotel! The princess were completely keyed up and DD found a little birthday surprise!!!



After admiring that I told the birthday princess she should go take a look at her view!

There was soooo much excitement in the rooms I didn’t take pictures!!! So you’ll have to wait until the end of the report for that! (I took a bunch before we left!)

The second floor of some of the building at Poly doesn’t have balconies, Hawaii is one of those buildings but we did have sliding glass door that opened to a railing! Which was no problem at all!


I called for bell services to bring our luggage. While we waited the princesses decided to take advantage of the appetizers in the lounge! It took me a minute or two to convince them that they didn’t have to pay for it! LOL!!! I think they thought I was being sarcastic when they asked Queen Jen and I for money and I said they didn’t have to pay!

The girls came back shortly with some yummy treats. Our luggage arrived, we changed and headed off to MK!

We waited forever for a monorail because there was an issue with one of them! There were a ton of people on the platform by the time the monorail actually came! I think the line went almost all the way back to the doors of Poly! Luckily we were in the front of the line! There was a man online who was freaking out because they had an ADR at Chef Mickey’s to get too! He told the attendant that their ADR was in 10 minutes! Umm, I think this is the reason they tell you to leave at least an hour for travel time!

The monorail finally arrived and we boarded to standing room only. Off we went! The only problem was that apparently we got the broken monorail! We went really, really, really slowly! When we finally got to GF there was a HUGE line waiting there as well, but because the train was already so full less then a quarter of the people were able to get on!

We were off again! Again really, really slow but luckily after we cleared the GF complex we started to pick up speed and finally went a normal speed!

We finally arrived at MK! Woo hoo!!! We were so excited!!!

We entered the park and headed up Main Street!

Of course, we stopped for a few photopass pics!





I also, as manntra mentioned to me on FB, played photopass photographer for the princesses!

After the pics were taken it was off to get something to eat and get off Main Street before MSEP started! So, we headed to Cosmic Rays! Honestly, I can’t remember what we all got I know there were a few burgers, a chicken sandwich or two and maybe chicken tenders?! IDK!

After dinner we headed into Fantasyland! DD decided that she wanted to do PhilHarMagic first!

But first we stopped to buy a few hats! While we finished our very large drinks from dinner!

Then off to PhilHarMagic! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE PhilHarMagic!!! I think it ties with HM as my favorite thing in WDW! It was the perfect way to start the trip!

As we exited PhilHarMagic I heard a distinct booming! Wishes had started! It was very cool to stop and watch from the back! DH, the kids and I were treated to a Wishes from the back of the castle show in Oct of 09 and it was so different and beautiful! I didn’t take any pics this time so I give you a few from 09!









Then it was off to IASW! Which was a walk on due to Wishes!











Then we were off to HM! Woo hoo! Princess Jessica was especially freaked out by it this trip though!! I’m not sure why!!

After our haunted adventure we decided to head back to the room! We were tired after all the traveling and excitement!

Such a great upgrade! I'm thinking they must have oversold the theme park view and since you arrived a bit later you were the lucky ones to get the upgrade! That is extra pixie dust especially because you had 2 rooms! Sounds like a fun evening at the MK! Already this trip sounds much better than the last!

I think you're right! It makes sense! I'm willing to bet that those were the only 2 connecting MK view rooms they had! It was a fabulous upgrade!

Believe me, I've had the same feeling!! I just love the fact that you can check-in 10 days in advance! I a nice little pre-trip boost!

The upgrade was fabulous!!!! We were sooo excited!!!!!! I could get used to that view! I really could! It was fabulous!

One day we'll do CL at Jambo too! I love me some CL!!! I'm all about being pampered!
