The Princess Bride - 20 Years Later

I can't believe they left out my favorite character of all; Peter Cook as "The Impressive Clergyman"!

Mawwiage, that bwessed awwaingement, that dweam wiffin a dweam...

No more rhymes and I mean it!
Anybody want a peanut?

My absolute favorite movie of all time!

Do love Christopher Guest's films as well, though. Waiting for Guffman is probably my 2nd favorite movie!
I love "Best in Show..." Its my all time favorite closely followed by Waiting for Guffman and Princess Bride.... funny though. ..I never put together that the 6 fingered man was Chris Guest!

The movie is fun, but the book is AWESOME. It's satire and more of an "adult" book than you would think.

Recently, Rob Reiner, the director of PB, was on TV and talked about an incident at a local restaurant.

He glanced over in the corner and saw John Giotti (not sure how to spell it, mob guy). He decided it was time to go, when suddenly a rather large man from Giotti's party came over to him. In a very gruff voice he said "You killed my brother, prepare to die". Reiner stated that he was so afraid he almost wet himself. Then the large man, with a big smile, said "I loved that movie!".:rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That's awesome!

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

;) :lmao:

I had no idea Christopher Guest was the six fingered man!

Has anyone ever read the book? I had no idea it wasn't a "real" book.

I got it for my husband last year as The Princess Bride is his favorite movie. It is now in my waiting to be read pile!!:goodvibes

Wow, I was 7 years. old when the movie came out in the theaters. I own it on dvd now, though, & I love it.

If any of you watch "The world series of pop culture" on VH-1, there was a question on the movie last year. :thumbsup2

Last week when I saw my niece (who was not even born yet when the movie came out!!), she had on a t-shirt that said "inconcievable" on the front - DH and I both said the same thing when we saw her - I do not think that word means what you think it means - we all had a good laugh!

Awesome movie that really stands the test of time!

Thanks for the slideshow - I'll have to show it to dh now!
