After my dream meeting with Goofy, we went over to Minnie’s character trail. . .I couldn’t resist taking a picture of the girl’s shoes who was ahead of us. . .those couldn’t have been too comfortable!

And finally getting to meet Minnie. . .awww, isn’t she lovely?

And then the Big Cheese himself! Hi Mickey!

I was so enamored with Goofy that I just had to go back and see him again! He was so excited that I came back and he was jumping up and down when he saw me! I felt so special! I hope you can indulge my many photos of me & Goofy here. . .this was really one of the most magical moments of my trip! I just love Goofy so much!

Goofy then started dancing with me! Awwwww!

Goofy kissed my hands ! I will never wash them!

And me after my second dream meeting. . .awww, my heart! I am in love!

After I regained my composure after spending magical moments with Goofy, I went over to meet Donald, who was in a wonderful mood! He didn’t lose his temper once!

Awwww!

As we were making our way to see the Jammin’ Jungle Parade, I found a tree with tons of birds in it! Isn’t that cool?

And I loved this lone flower in the pond. . .

Finally, we found a spot to watch the parade. . .I heard this was a very lively parade and was really looking forward to it! It was truly wonderful. . .lots and lots of characters and lots of action! I highly recommend you take time to see this parade! You won’t regret it!

After the parade, we made our way over to Dinoland since we didn’t get to see it on our first trip to AK. It was cute! It’s set up like a carnival and is completely different from the rest of the park. . almost as if it doesn’t really belong in the AK, but that’s the way the Imagineers wanted it. I liked it!

I wanted to ride Primeval Whirl, but I had heard it can make you nauseous. . .since I was still sick, I decided I better not chance it. . .so I’ll have to wait until next time!

I can’t help posting another picture of her – she’s just so cute!

I’d really love to take this Dino Diner on a road trip with me. . .I wonder what people would think?

After clowning around in Dinoland, it was time to catch the AKL bus so we could make our dinner ADR at Boma. . .I was really looking forward to dinner because I’ve heard of all the different tastes Boma has available on their buffet and I love trying new things! Boy I wasn’t disappointed. . .I tried a little bit of everything!

And I especially loved the zebra domes. . .you have to try one of these!

The wait staff was very friendly and accomodating. . .they brought me plenty of hot tea and honey to keep my throat soothed! The atmosphere was wonderful. . .low lighting, and plenty of food for everyone. . .You just can't go wrong with Boma and I cannot wait to eat here again one day!

I was really happy that I made it through the day without needing a break, but I was getting really tired as I was still sick, so we grabbed the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then the ferry to our resort. . .

And we were delighted once again to see that we had a towel creation in our room! A heart, because we love Disney so much!

We had about an hour before we were to go down to the beach to watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes, so I spent it resting and watching Channel 96! Here is just s sampling of what you can see on that Channel (I hope Disney doesn’t come after me for posting these!). . .

The Goofy short, ‘How to Ride a Horse. . .’ This one really cracked me up!

And another Goofy short, ‘How to Play Football’ which has tons of Goofys!

We made our way to the beach, where I quickly ‘burritoed’ myself inside a blanket on one of the hammocks. . .

James caught me napping before the show!

But then decided I’d have a better view from one of the chaise lounges. . .

We had a lovely view from the beach in front of the Tahiti longhouse!

And finally it started!

We spent quite a bit of time on the beach after Wishes was over, because we knew we only had one more full day in the parks. . .so we really made the most of the evening. . .it was so lovely just sitting on the beach at night with no one else around. . .I felt truly blessed to have had such an amazing, magical trip!

Oh Carol, my dear, sweet friend!!! We truly are going to have an amazing time in October. I can't wait!!! Your day at AK looks and sounds like it was amazing!!! Your pictures are beautiful as always. You had so very much fun with the characters, I was so thrilled to see you meant Jiminy, he is my favorite!! Wonderful installment and beautiful pics!!! Those shoes were definitely "What Not to Wear!" We missed a lot of AK due to rain, so I loved seeing everything we missed! Now I want to sneak over to the Poly to watch Wishes one night! I just can't find time to do everything I want in this trip--I know it's a good reason to come back. I hate that this report is almost over; make the next part really loooonnnngg!

We are going to go to the AK for the first time as a part of our Sept. trip. I just made the final payment yesterday so now I am even more excited about it. Whogirl’smom – Thank you so much! I know, those girl’s shoes looked so uncomfortable! There is no way I could have walked in those shoes all day. . .that’s why I wore my crocs that day. . .my Ryka tennis shoes look much more fashionable than my crocs, which would also be ‘What Not to Wear’ from a fashion standpoint, but they are sooo much more comfortable. . . and I didn’t want painful feet! But by the end of the day, if you look back on my pictures, you’ll notice that I did change back into my Rykas. . .they just look better! I am so glad I was able to show you some things you missed – and I do recommend catching Wishes from the Polynesian ! Soooo relaxing. I am going to make my last installment as long and as full of pictures as possible! I am so sad it is almost over!

Mymainmouse – I know how you feel! I am so sad that I am working on my last installment, so I am including TONS of pictures and making the most of it! I really did love the Animal Kingdom and I know your family will too. . . be sure to hit the character trails in Camp Minnie Mickey! The lines go really fast and the characters are so interactive with the guests! I am so happy to have given you a wonderful preview!

Hey everyone! Well, I am so sad that this is my last installment! I just want to thank everyone who has read my TR and made such nice comments about it! I truly appreciate it!

With that said, let's head to the Magic Kingdom one last time!

Day 15 – Monday, May 29, 2007

Sigh. . .I was kinda sad waking up today, because I knew it would be our last full day here in my beloved Disney. . .but I was determined to make the very most of it. I was actually feeling pretty decent when I woke up this morning and was very happy about it! I spent some time on the balcony this morning, just reflecting on what a wonderful, magical trip we’ve had and hoping we’d get to come back to the Polynesian soon. I was happy to see a family of ducks on the ground below our room and enjoyed listening to their ‘conversation.’ Today was our last day with Flora, too, and I was very sad to see her go, but it was time for her new family to croc-sit her at the Grand Floridian, so we said our goodbyes until October, when I get to croc-sit her again!

We had a 8:05 ADR for Crystal Palace, so we got ready and grabbed the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. On the way to the Magic Kingdom, I spotted the place where they store the Electrical Water Pageant floats! It’s on your left just before you reach the Magic Kingdom. . .see if you can’t spot them on your next trip!

We got to the Magic Kingdom with 20 minutes to spare before our ADR and luckily, the CMs let us in so we could take some empty park pictures! We goofed around with Goofy (in front of Tony’s Town Square). . .

And then I said hello to Roy & Minnie. . .

I just love empty park photos!

I feel like the only one in the Magic Kingdom!

And I just HAD to get my picture with Goofy again!

I love how the trash cans are all representative of the land they are located in. . .

And a picture of Crystal Palace, where we are about to dine with Pooh & the Gang!

We had just a short wait before we were led to our table and helped ourselves to the buffet. Both sides were open, so the lines went very quickly. As with every Disney breakfast buffet, there was a little bit of everything and I enjoyed it all, especially the Pooh waffles!

Which I was munching on when along comes Pooh himself! Silly old bear!

Then alone came sweet little Eeyore. . .

And then Piglet. . .doesn’t that light make Piglet look angelic?

And finally in bounced Tigger!

Breakfast was a huge hit. We had a wonderful waiter who never rushed us and was quick to bring us whatever we needed. I can’t wait to have breakfast here again in October with my very dear friend Jen!

PS – Jen is having surgery tomorrow, so please keep her in your prayers for a quick, peaceful recovery. She is just the most wonderful, dear friend anyone could ask for. . .she is truly a blessing in my life!


After our wonderful breakfast, we headed over to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan’s Flight (our tradition) and then we made our way over to the Mad Tea Party, where to our delight, we saw Alice and the Mad Hatter getting into a teacup near us! How exciting!

After our wild ride, we followed Alice and the Mad Hatter to where they would be greeting guests and I had a crazy meeting with them. . .how surprising that it was Alice’s Unbirthday, the Mad Hatter’s Unbirthday and my Unbirthday too!

Is he making a face at me?

Yes, I made a face back!

Finally it was time to say goodbye to my new friends and we made our way over to Toontown to wait for rope drop. . .

I was so excited to see Goofy at rope drop and we followed him to Goofy’s barnstormer where he grabbed a little boy to ride up front with him. That boy was just so excited to be riding up front with Goofy! Of course, I would have passed out had Goofy offered me the chance, but it was so cute to see how excited the little boy was! I was just excited to be on the same train as Goofy!

Here I was wanting to run up and hug Goofy, but I didn’t want to steal the little boy’s thunder. . .

Goofy walked him and his family over to the Judge’s tent where they got to be first in line for photos! So James and I followed them. . .I met Chip & Dale again, who were as mischievous as ever. . .

Then I ran up to hug Goofy, who was bashful at first. . .

But then he turned on the charm!

And I met with a gracious princess, Snow White. . .

After my wonderful character meeting experiences, James and I decided to go back to Cinderella Castle to catch the Dream Along with Mickey stage show. . .on the way, I found Cinderella's wishing well. . .

And a lovely view of Cinderella Castle. . .

I’ve always loved the exquisite detailing. . .

While we were waiting for the castle stage show to start, I noticed a little bird eating popcorn!

Then finally the show started! I loved how the characters' eyes blinked and their mouths moved when they talked! It certainly made them more real and I just loved it!

After the castle show, which I absolutely loved, we headed over to the Jungle Cruise, but not before I took the opportunity to take a picture with the camel who catches people off guard by ‘spitting’ on them!

I wonder who those poor unfortunate souls were. . .

I enjoyed playing with the mini jungle cruise boats. . .

And I love the theming of the Jungle Cruise itself!
