The power of aversion therapy

I had sworn off using aversion therapy in my practicing, but I've broken with my convictions to treat a smoker. Can be very effective! One of my colleagues treated a person looking to lose weight with aversion therapy and they lost 8 pounds in two weeks without even trying. And that was the first of four sessions! The power of aversion therapy, the power of suggestion...

I didn't think you were actually practicing. I thought you were just learning things.
As part of your learning, you have to commit 12 hours to practical work, 120 hours to one-to-one tuition and much more learning and coursework.

That's one of the reasons I prefer positive reinforcement. It's more pleasant and has a 90% success rate after 4 one-hour sessions. It lasts, too.

Turns out that after three sessions the therapist had to abandon the practice as the client was losing weight at an alarming rate. It just wasn't healthy.
