The Postman Rang Twice - I Mailed/Received My Postcard Exchange

I received one more postcard from CarolG. It shows all the beautiful churches in Macon. It's a beautiful postcard! Thank you so much, Carol. I think I need a trip to Macon! ;):)

Hi Everyone!
I've had two more cards - another one from Crazyme5kids - Montauk Point Lighthouse and it looks beautiful.
And one from Aksnopea of Anchorage - wow to the mountains in the background!
I'm glad you got yours Boots, Breezy_Carol and Kirby - I hope you do all get here one day, it's not bad!

Well, I have still only recieved one lot of cards out of 4 people i exchanged with, and only one thank you card. Seems alot of la people haven.t done whattheysaid they would do, as not all cards would be lost!

With the keyring excahnge, id someone dosen't forfill their part or have a good excuse, they will be named on here, as i don;t think it is fair to other people.

Now I understand what your pm was meant, BreezyCarol!!!!!
I recd your beautiful cards Thursday afternoon. Sorry it has taken me til today(Sunday) to post. Thank you so very much! Wasn't it strange the Oddball had to send you cards and that you recd my name to send cards to?!?!?!Exciting though. I have really enjoyed all the cards I have recd and learning a little more about people here on the DIS.

Don't you just love exchanges????!!!!!???!!!!:p

I received cards from Aksnopea and Bunny Girl, thank you SO much!!! I've been lucky in that I've received cards from places I've never been, but have wanted to visit...so I can look at my beautiful postcards until I can actually make it there!

That is what makes it so much fun, receiving from somewhere you've never been & in some cases places you've dreamt of visiting & now have an ingsight into.:p :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Definately Nutsy! Just received another batch from the beautiful State of Washington! Thanks meriweather! The Space Needle (nice to look at but, I'd NEVER go up in that thing!), Mount Rainier and Arlington. Great notes from Nancy on each one, too!

(Just dawned on me Rainier ~ or, Rain-i-er, as in Seattle?? :( I know, boo-hiss, bad joke!) :p

LOL....bad, bad KimRaye ;) Actually we have had NO rain in a month and are too dry, like a lot of the country. :(

And the view from the Space Needle is spectacular!! It is a posh restaurant. Rotates once around every hour.

Hi Vicki!
Just to let you know my cards from you (posted 12 August you said) haven't arrived yet. You didn't answer my PM about it.
And to everyone involved in my magnet exchange, even if the worst comes to the worst, there'll be no public naming and shaming. People have their own consciences to live with and we'll (me and my Dis friends) will manage IF it happens. Pixie dust to one and all.

Hi,

I never got your pm sorry!! That is strange about the cards, as all the others have arrived, i understand if maybe one lot dosen;t go through, but not all of them!

I have read on here about people that have done past exchanges and not recieved anything, a postcard is nothing, but what aobut people that do a future exchange that pay more for something and get nothing in return? That jsut isn;t fair to them. IMO

Hi Vicki!
My PM about the magnet exchange - the second half was all about your postcards. You did respond to the PM.
That's the risk you run with these exchanges, there's no way we can force people to play fair. It's very upsetting for the organisers and It's why a lot of people don't take part. I'm hoping everyone plays fair in my exchange but if they don't, we'll cope. The nice thing about life is that even though we don't hear it so much, the `goodies´ far outway the `baddies´. I like that about life!

Spot on Poohshoney!!

Like you I will not publicly name anyone who has not upheld their end of the bargain in this exchange. That is so not needed.

Goodies are great people.................I've had some wonderful people in this exchange who have willingly done far more than their share, so that someone else out there will not be without any postcards.

99.9% of all those who took part in the postcard exchange have been wonderful, but like in anything, you do get a bad egg here & there.:( But we cope, with the help of a few good hearted people we get there in the end.;)

i sent my international cards out over 2 weeks ago, and haven't heard anything. I hope they got there okay:(

ok, i am one of the bad ones. no excuses, just my apologies. i have all my postcards and plan to send them out tomorrow.

Thanks to Carol, aka aksnopea, for some very nice cards. :)

Having received 4 sets of cards, it now means I have other options to consider when vacation planning comes around  -

Orlando will have some serious competition in the next few years :bounce:

Thanks also to Jill, aka Quasi123. Fort Walton Beach looked absolutely stunning :Pinkbounc

I came very close to stopping there 4 years ago - we were heading across the Panhandle to Tallahassee from New Orleans, and eventually onto Dunedin to complete a 3 week fly-drive.

Now I know what I missed :(

One day .......

Thanks again to both of you.

BriaN

How exciting! I received two great postcards from Linda (Planogirl) today! :bounce: :bounce:
I love the one with the armadillo. That is so cute! ;) And, the picture of the Dallas skyline at night is just gorgeous! This is a real coincidence, too. I have a two hour lay over in Dallas at the end of this month. I'll be seeing the Dallas airport for the very first time very soon. ;) :teeth:

Just got some nice cards from kellyla today!!! Thanks Kelly for the note with the info about your area. I know what you mean about trying to find postcards...only one small store sold postcards in our town. And only a few at that! So every one I sent cards to got the same ones!!!!

We have been to Canada a few times and have always thought it was beautiful!!!

Thanks again!
Karen

:) More post cards in the mail today.
Thank you Quasi123 (Jill) and her DD Amber too.
Very pretty pictures of a sunset on the Gulf Coast of Florida and the seaoats in the sand, a dolphin and Okaloosa Island.

Uh oh Barb, there should be 3. Hmmmm, I hope that the other one shows up. I'm glad that you liked the two that you did get! :teeth:

I got another postcard yesterday from Tiggerlover. This one was of Verona and it looks beautiful.

Thanks Debbi.:)
