Perhaps this is a security thing for the war, not to show the cruise ships? As they did last Sunday, the 'local 6" cam is on what almost looks like a battleship, although it is too small. DH said "wow, that doesn't look like it would be a very comfortable cruise!";)

I was also thinking it could be for security reasons? I really don't know how showing a ship on a web cam can be risking security but it is the only reason I can think of. I miss seeing the ship in port . Kathy

try www.kroooz-cams.com you can see where ships are at and ports of call all over the world. To see DCL ships go to portcams then to port canaveral if the ship is in port you will see it. Also on the days the Magic is in St. Thomas you will see it docked with the other ships-for this do the same as above but go to caribbean and it will list about 5 islands to pick from.

Three ways to see Port Canaveral, but I think it is the same camera as all show the same view.

Sometimes before 9-11 they would show different parts of the port. Sometimes they show different cruise ships, cargo ships, etc. One time it looked like the cameras slipped and was sending a picture of the inside of the building where it is mounted, a desk and papers

Have fun checking other sites.

With this one you can see the ships leave port if you are lucky--they sail past between 5 and 6 PM depending on actual departure time. http://www.twopalms.com/

I went to this site, went to Port Canaveral, and all I saw were a bunch of buildings. No boats or SHIPS at all.

O.K. right after I sent my post the camera was moved to a boat ramp.

What's this, Andy, a "day late and a dollar short"?!~
Check out the St. Thomas cam - it's always sunny and beautiful there!

Feeling a bit "rowdy" since I've had a shrimp fix AND got my documents!!!

Just got back from my Mr. Mom duties, Hazel is starting to get around a little better each week, but food shopping is still too much to do by herself. Congrats on getting your "fix" and your docs, you must be one happy cruiser in waiting now!!!

RAE: Glad you finally got your cruise docs and had your shrimp. Way to go girl :Pinkbounc

Some of the Kroooz-cams move and some are fixed. The three Port Canaveral Cams I gave above are the same camera I think. There are some other sites that show the town of port Canaveral and sometimes you can see the ships go by in them, depending on where they are pointed. It is a fun diversion.

There was a camera on 7 Mile Beach for a while that did show the MAGIC some times when it was at Grand Cayman, but not always,

Jan, I do so like to look at the cam sites, especially at St. Thomas.
Yes, both documents and shrimp fix have helped destress me!

Andy - glad DW is doing much better. She needs to keep you in line! OR does DD take care of that?!

SHRIMP RULES!

There is some kind of Seafood Fest at Port Canaveral this weekend.

well, the camera seems fixed on that seafood fest instead of the channel...i've only seen one ship and it was NOT the magic!

:(

The Magic looked beautiful going by two palms this evening, 20 more Saturday's to go, then it will be my turn!!!

that's funny, because twopalms.com looked frozen to me. i kept seeing the same scene for over an hour...no ships!

It stuck on my screen for a few minutes, then I just want back and closed it down, then re-opened it, and it was back right on time. A few minutes later, the Magic came by.

I was just looking at the port cam and the camera is facing an empty DCL Terminal now. Actually, I think the camera is shooting this sunset.

Too early right now for the Wonder?? But at least it's not on that cargo ship or whatever it was... looks like a Carnival ship?? I'm still new to cruising, so the only ship I recognize is Disney.

Jeanny :teeth:

Thank you SO much for having this thread on here! I just had some work done on my computer, and lost the port cam as my home page... It's back now!

I checked the Carnival website and it looks like Carnival PRIDE and Carnival FANTASY are the two ships that share the Carnival terminal at Port Canaveral.

You can see one of the ships when on a Disney ship as they seem to have parallel schedules and very similar itineraries to the Disney Ships.

Sometimes the cams are aimed to show them leaving too. One time I watched as the cam moved and I saw both ships leave their terminals and head down the channel to the ocean.
