Cast:
Amy (me!)--35, just opened my own legal research business
Robb (DH)--36, accountant for a heavy road construction company
Maddie (DD)--4, just started her second year of preschool
Travel Dates:
TBD
Will be booking airfare using miles, so we need to coordinate to see what days have FF availability and good rates at WDW. So far, it looks like first week in December may be our best option
Resort:
TBD
We are looking at ASMu or POP
No ADRs so far. We're looking at the QSDP, so I doubt we'll be doing many meals. Possibly Akershus, as DD loved it the last time
We have now begun planning our next trip. I am more excited about this trip than any previous trip, largely because I didn't think we'd ever get to this point. Our DD (4) has been suffering from encopresis/chronic constipation for more than two years. We tried everything to fix it, to no avail. At some point, one of us promised her that when she was finally "cured," we'd take a trip to WDW to celebrate. Lo and behold, after making many modifications to her diet (she has a dairy sensitivity that we weren't aware of) and MUCH effort on her part, she is doing so well. We haven't had any major potty problems in almost three months.
We have decided that she has now earned the trip, and we are ready to start putting things together. We have affectionately dubbed this vacation "The Poop Trip." I am very excited about getting free dining, so we are looking at going in early December. I just started my own business, so we are trying to keep costs way down. We are considering a Value for this trip, which we have never done before. If I can land one or two big accounts within the next few weeks, we might be able to switch to a Moderate, but I am thinking we'll probably be rocking the ASMu this time.
We are also very interested in little things that we can do to really make this a celebration for our DD. She has suffered so much pain and embarrassment from her condition and has worked so hard to get better, that we really want her to know how proud we are. Any low-cost suggestions would be so welcome.
Of course, we aren't quite sure what to say when they ask (at booking and throughout our stay) if we are celebrating anything special. I don't know what kind of response we'll get from the CMs if we say, "Pooping!" I guess we could always say we've overcome a medical problem or something like that and hope nobody asks for additional details!
