The Police are here at School doing an interactive exercise with the drunk goggles

Have you done this? The police are here and have the kids driving our golf carts through an obsticle course while wearing the "drunk goggles" They simulate what your perception is after different levels of drinking. I just gave it a try, knocked over 12 cones, and unlike the some of the kids I was trying not to Its a neat educational thing to do with the kids on the danger of drinking and driving.

year but with carrying a baby doll....she said it made her wicked seasick.....I am hoping that kids will realize that this is the way it would be in a vehicle......

Our HS has done so in the past and has another of these demonstrations scheduled within the next 2 weeks. I think they use googles and a computer hooked up to a car so the students don't actually navigate the vehicle on a course. Also, only students with licenses are permitted to get behind the wheel.

Pam we have them in golf carts...out in a empty parking lot...only Juniors and Seniors.

Ack, SSB is kinda' queezy just THINKING about putting on goggles like that, much less then driving around! :0
