How is the restaurant? I have skipper canteen booked for my trip in Sept but after the release of the Halloween food I am thinking of switching just for the sandwiches they posted about. Last time I was at the plaza I think was over 25 years ago.

I went for the first time a couple months ago as I wanted to switch it up from Skippers Canteen. It was mediocre to me, had a chefs salad type thing where I had to pick out bad lettuce. At that price I should not have to pick out bad lettuce. I’ll be going back to Skippers next time or taking a park break and hitting a monorail resort.

It was a one and done for me. We had bad lettuce, cold fries, the other food was just ok and service was awful. We waited 30 minutes before anyone came to our table and then it took 45 minutes to get our food. We didn’t eat the food but no one came to check how it was. We waited 20 minutes after our food for a manager who never came.

I hate to pile on, but I'm with the previous posters. We were so excited to try it last summer, and it was mediocre at best. The location is awesome, and it felt almost iconic and like something we should definitely try, but the food just ok. We had reservations, but we weren't able to be seated for nearly 40 minutes. The meal itself too way too long, and we felt like it was a massive waste of park time.

This is so sad to hear. I have fond memories of, as a kid, having the club sandwich and sharing a banana split with my dad! I also read a review on Tripadvisor that the windows are kind of boarded up now so you don't see outside and it is a dreary atmosphere. Is that true?
For our MK day I'm now thinking we will just choke down one of the sleepy hollow waffles (I have read about their changes)? I do have a Disney Visa and get the 10% discount so was kind of thinking of Tony's (it will be me and my DD age 12), which I also have fond memories of but, again, so many lackluster reviews! Our last two times at MK we have eaten pizza at Pinocchio's, which has been just fine.

Haven't been in years but it used to be a must do each trip. The reason we stopped going was they shrunk the menu to literally a handful of things and then raised the prices about 30%. I am pleased to see the menu has now grown to a nice variety with a few items still at a higher QS price point.

We don't go to Skipper Canteen anymore, I've never had a good meal, find it grossly overpriced for what you get and if you get stuck in the cavernous big room (where most eat) it is like eating in a food court.

So frustrating that MK has the worse food offerings of all the parks.

I went for the first time recently - I picked up a last-minute reservation (earlier in the same day). They kept me waiting quite a while after my reservattion time and the service in general was kinda slow. I really had to push to get my check so I could make it to my TRON boarding group. It really shouldn't have taken that long - it took a while just for anybody to come to my table. I will say that the sandwich that I had was really tasty, but the fries were not spectacular. It was better than any counter-service in MK food-wise, but it wasn't worth the time it took.

We ate there in April. Very rude check in. Awkwardly placed 2 top—the server had to wedge herself to get anywhere near us. Long time to get food. Cold fries. Soggy stale bread on club. No drink refills even when requested. First and last for us.

It used to be so good! I won't eat there anymore. It has been consistently bad food, bad service, and cramped.

Such a bummer, too, because the menu and service used to be fantastic and a favorite of ours.

Thank you. I felt like it didn't have great from some of the Disney fans here. I think I was falling sucker to the images I was seeing of the two sandwiches.

I mean, they do look good! My chicken sandwich was actually quite good when I ate there, but the time was the real downside, especialyl after not seating me on time. Maybe they were super busy, but it sounds like a chronic issue. I certianly wouldn't waste limited Party Time on it!

It seems to be a love or hate place.
Personally I really like it.
Was seated immediately.
I liked my food, server was nice and checked in on us throughout and was busy but she never acted overwhelmed.
It was a relatively quiet atmosphere and bright, clean, and comfortable to sit.
This was December 2022 btw.

Haven't been there in years, but that was because the food was so bad. Ordered a hamburger. It was so greasy, you couldn't pick up the bottom bun as it was soaked. The mild shakes were good. Their menu has changes several times since then, but we've never found a reason to go back.

I’ve seen reviews that Tony’s is actually better than it used to be. We’re definitely passing on the Plaza and may give Tony’s a try since it’s been probably 18 yrs since we tried it!
