The Plaza Restaurant or Columbia Harbor House for MNSSHP night?

We wanted to eat about 5:00 pm on our MNSSHP night, & we don't really want anything that is going to take up a lot of our time.

Originally, I had planned for us to eat at Columbia Harbor House. But, then I read where they close early on party nights. What time would they close? And would eating at 5:00 pm be too late? (If they are closing at 6:00 pm, would they stop making fresh food?)

The Plaza Restaurant would be fine, but I'm worried it will take too long. We want to be done by 6:00 pm.

For lunch that day, we're eating at WCC.

For party night, I would go to Columbia Harbor House because it is a CS and it won't take you as long to get your food and eat, where as at The Plaza it is a TS so you will more than likely be waiting for your ADR. The only downside about not eating at the Plaza is that you won't have one of their really good ice cream creations for dessert.

I like harbor house better and yes it is faster than the Plaza, but the Plaza focuses on sandwiches, so even though its a table service you should be done by 6. The food at Harbor house will still be fresh, they dont stop cooking until the park closes so if you really want to eat at Harbor house you should not have a problem. I'm guessing that you chose the Plaza as your other choice because of its basic menu. I don;t know what your looking to eat, but you can always go to cosmic rays, they have a lot of choices and even though they have high volumes of people they are pretty quick.

I voted for The Plaza, I love that place! It doesn't take too long to eat there, it is relaxing and the food is very good. They have a lot of options for kids, too.

The night we went to MNSSHP last year we planned on eating at Columbia Harbor House. However, it was closed because it was a trick or treat spot. We had to grab a hot dog at Casey's.

It was open the year before.

When we were there for MNSSHP Columbia Harbor House closed at 5 so you'll have to get there a little earlier. The Plaza was open for a little longer, but it also closed before the party started.

It worries me that sometimes Columbia Harbor House is open & sometimes it's not & that it has closed earlier than 5:00 pm.

Since we're eating lunch at WCC around 12:30 pm, we really didn't want to eat dinner much earlier than 5:00 pm.

So, I'm thinking I'll make an ADR at the Plaza for 5:00 pm. Hopefully, we'll be done eating by 6:00 pm w/ plenty of time before the party officially begins at 7:00 pm.

This is our 1st ever MNSSHP party (and I've ALWAYS wanted to go), so I just didn't want us to feel like we spent too much time at a restaurant.

You could always make your ADR for 5:30, and still be ready for the party at 7pm. If you get to MK by 5pm, you can get FP for something after dinner and do Monsters Inc or Mickey's Philharmagic before dinner. Or just stroll around. Just an idea

We ate at CHH before our party last year and yes it closed at 5. We went in right before 5 and had very fresh food and the dining area was empty except for one other family. I worried it would be closed. We ate an early breakfast buffet and no lunch so we were fine eating early and just had a snack around 9 to perk us up mid-party.
