I have just returned from the Plaza at the Magic Kingdom.
I usually make astop at the Plaa on every trip.
I always like the relaxed atmosphere & simple sandwich menu.

The foos was good as it usually is.... I had a bacon cheeseburger & fries. The kids had hanburger & a PBJ. This is the only time I let the kids have FF on the whole trip...I usually steer them towards fruit but these are the best french fries at Disney IMHO.:)
I think that this might be the best burger at Disney .....it is really good!

However, the service was terrible...I think i noticed this in 2009 also. For some reason the servers are always in the back of house (kitchen). The dinning room is usually void of servers......not sure why, but most tables were waiting for food, to take an order or remove plates.....this was really a downer....there is some type of problem here.
It took 1 hour 40 minutes for soup, burgers & ice cream sundaes.
It was a very good old fashioned banana split

So good food (maybe one of Disney's better values) but the service is way tooo slow!!!!

Just went for lunch in January 2011 and agree the service was very slow- much slower than Sept 2010 (ate two lunches there) or Sept 2009 (one lunch). We tried to get an earlier time than our ADR, but they said we would be listed as a walkup and the wait would still take us close to our ADR time. Oddly, when i peeked inside half the tables were empty.

BUT the food was great.

Nice to see a review for The Plaza! We have a dinner reservation for the evening we get to Disney. The menu looked good, so glad to hear that it is. I also know what to expect for service and wait. I will update when we get back to share my thoughts.

We eat at the Plaza at least once a year and don't ever recall slow service. Last time was in November 2010. DD14 and I love the roasted vegetable sandwich, with fries, and cookies and creme shake.

We went in Dec 2010, and it was slightly slow, but I'll take slow to get the yummy food! :)

I agree with you on the fries. I don't eat them often but The Plaza's are the best I've had at WDW!:thumbsup2

My son and I ate dinner at the Plaza last week and enjoyed it very much. We seem to eat there every trip. We were not terribly hungry so we split a grilled chicken sandwich, which was very good, and a brownie sundae (delicious)! The service was good.
