I think it's wonderful that you were able to go to DTD at such an early hour. I've heard that is one of the better times to go to avoid most of the crowds. I love those candid shots, especially with your son at the fountain!

Yes, it was wonderful! There were not too many people there at all. We didn't even get over to the West Side, but that is on the agenda for next time. I have more candid shots of DS. One involves a kiss but you will have to wait for that one

one year nebo had knee surgery (a limbo injury) right before a trip. 2 years later our 15 year old son broke his foot right before a trip!

a few years back when the youngest was 19 I made the mistake of cosigning for a car. the VERY NEXT DAY!, on the TOLLWAY, no less, a very lost deer wandered across this four lane expressway and right into the front of the car! thankfully no injuries (well,, except the deer), but was mucho bucks to fix the car, even with insurance. it was almost totaled.

I know the feeling. I hit not one, but 2 deer while I was pregnant with DS. The Doctor said he was attracting him and called him BUCK. During delivery, he even said "Here comes Buck!"

thank God your hubby was ok.... and he obviously know how to handle his mistress!

Hubby sure can handle that mistress and that is something most men can't say! But can he handle me?

Believe me, I thought of Nebo almost every day there, with DH asking where the pain pills were.

Great report! I loved your cliff hanger at the start So how was Harley after the run in with the deer? Did she make out better than your poor DH? I'm loving the pictures... I think my favourite so far is your son with lego-boy

Actually, Harley D made out extremely well, considering most of the main damage came from DH's leg. That cracked the rear cylinder head Other than that, she only had a broken reflector, and a scratch on the gas tank.

I have more pics of DH & DS at funny moments. There will be a couple at Epcot you will crack up about! Thanks for being along for the ride!

Great to see ya here. Promise I will keep it coming, but next installment may not be til Monday. Sunday is my B-day, and the boys have a full day planned. Actually DH is working, and DS said I could sleep in, so that is what I'm doing all day I WISH!

Sounds like you had a nice relaxing first day and OKW sounds really nice.

We tried to keep the whole trip relaxing because of DH's leg. We ended up doing things that don't often make TR's (at least that I've seen), so I'm hoping that info on these "weird" things will help people know that they are fun and entertaining. I liked OKW, but we will try another resort next. The goal is to not repeat lodging or restaurant until we've done it ALL!

I'm looking forward to more reports on OKW. we will consider it if $ allows. (going to visit, next trip) like you, we want to TRY IT ALL!
and, the dif. things, due to the leg injury... many of us have experienced all the rides and attractions, and would LOVE to hear about the fun and entertaining "weird things"
ps. when our sons were with., they were old enough to leave on their own for a while, and they had a GAS! of course, the last trip ,(they were 12 and 15) they each met a girl.
ps #2 ok look out, your son is a cutie pie... won't be long.. before you know it!

I enjoyed your last installment bay the way - I wanted to build a light saber, but we didn't go back to Downtown Disney to Once Upon A Toy. Oh well, something for next time I guess!

Just read your report and loving it. Nice pics. I stayed at OKW in 2000 and thought it was ok. Very pretty. I love the boat ride to DTD just like POR. Looking forward to more.
