The Pirates League coming to Disneyland

So exciting! I think I'll make reservations for my daughter. She loves Neverland Pirates on Disney Junior.

Thanks for sharing!

As fun as PL will be (and we are going during that time!), I wish they'd stop using Court of Angels for whatever random thing they want to stick somewhere. It's such a lovely area, but NOT when it's cluttered by commerce.

I agree!!

I agree too! Is this just a BBB type thing or do they actually do something after you're made up?

Yay! Hmmm DS @ 12 is probably too cool *liked it other than his black and white skeleton face paint melting off when he was 9...* DD enjoyed it too, she's mentioned wanting to visit BBB this Oct. and I figured she'd visit PL @ WDW next Oct....

I hope they have the Mermaid version! Check out this thread ~ as you can see in my post I've already purchased a dress for DD!

On the blog, it says "The Pirates League will offer three different packages for guests to choose from: Jake and the Never Land Pirates, First Mate, and Empress".

No mermaid listed. :(

I agree. We have taken a pic on the stairs every trip until the past few when it's been cluttered every time.

For those interested in the packages, I called the line where you make the reservations to get advance info so I know what I want when I call later this month to make a reservation. Only the Jake package is $30, so the other two are both $35.
The $30 Neverland Pirate package sounded simpler, with fewer items given to the pirate and quicker make-up. I suspect it's intended for your younger, more fidgety pirates, but I missed exactly what she said about the hair. I think there is a Jake-style bandana involved.
The First Mate sounded pretty first rate ;) with more accessories and tattoo, and the Empress was the FM with nail polish and glittery make-up for the face added in. The CM they should not take more than 20 minutes, no photos, etc.
When I mentioned my 2yo and asked if there was anything for him, she said they could not make an appointment for anyone under 3yo--but that in the moment, when you're there, CMs are free to do what they think is best. Ha, I don't see him sitting for anything more than a pirate tattoo.
Also, they will not make any same-day appointments, but walk-ins will be accommodated if possible. The hours are 10am-6pm for regular days, but extended to 7pm for MHP nights. :)

Thanks but ugh, DD did the Empress 3 years ago; when I told her about this I mentioned the Mermaid package @ WDW and said "I hope it's available." Sounds like it isn't, she's very excited :scared:

My DS and nephews will LOVE this. DS was a little too young in WDW last year, but this year should be good. We live for Jake and Captain Jack!! Thanks for the info:)

Nope, even in the blog it didn't mention the Mermaid. I'm bummed for myself! Got all excited, thinking about getting facepaint for the first time in 30 years...
