Cast - me, 40(ish) 6th trip to The Magic
DD, 8, 6th trip along with me

Tuesday 12th May

Due to someone :rolleyes1 forgetting to set her phone alarm, we didn't wake up til after 8 this morning. We were still up, organised and out for breakfast by 8.30 though. This morning we caught the 9.20 bus to the parks, there were only a handful of people on with us. By 9.35 we were once again in Salon Mickey :goodvibes. There were, as others here have said before, a few other shareholders there who greeted each other with an effusive "bonjour", hugs and kisses etc. In fact, today when we left through the park entrance at a little before 10am, they were re-arranging the furniture and looking like they were settling in for the day :rotfl:.

Once again, we went straight for PP fastpass, then rode Pirates (every time I asked DD what she wanted to do next, at any point in the day the whole time we were there, the answer was invariably "Pirates" :rotfl2:). Time for PP, then we went on the carousel.
It was around 10.45 when we headed down to the exit of the park, and then noticed there didn't appear to be a queue for the Disneyland railroad, so we decided to go on a trip round the park on it. Bear in mind, DD and I just don't "do" queues. Unfortunately, the train took around 45 minutes to get to us at Main St station, and by this point I was losing the will to live . Anyway, eventually it turned up, eventually we got going, and once we did, DD really enjoyed this. She didn't remember being on it before, and was really excited to see that the train went through Pirates :) .

Once around the park, it was now just after noon, and so off we went to the Studios. We had lunch at the Backlot Express, I've reviewed this in the restaurant thread :thumbsup2. While we were having lunch, we could see Pluto and Goofy right outside the window, horsing around and doing autographs/pictures. They left just before the HSM show started at 1pm, which we watched in our usual spot, near the souvenir carts and opposite the billboard for Moteurs.

We had time after that to catch Animagique, when we came out it was into brilliant hot sunshine - yey :yay:! It was just after 2pm, and we saw Buzz at his meet n greet spot, so went to meet him

He was with the fussiest (is that a word?) photographer I've come across outside of wedding poses. Very nice, but very precise, if you know what I mean :). I'm sure his professional photos were very good though :thumbsup2.

We could see Mickey doing his meet n greets on the Place des stars stage (with quite a queue). Cars was showing 25 minutes wait, Flying Carpets 15, so we decided to go to Cinemagique - another favourite of ours . When we came out of there, it was 3pm, and yet again the Toon Train came out, without a train! We got some more pics and autographs, then headed for the exit of the Studios. However, in the front lot, we found Donald and Daisy. Daisy is one of DD's favourites, always has been, and so she stopped for a lovely photo with her on her bench :).

Off back to the main park for us then, to watch the OUAD parade. Again, we had time first to pick up fastpass for PP, and do Pirates (again ;)). Watched the parade in brilliant sunshine, then after it had passed us we rode PP with our fastpass. Then (where else?) Pirates yet again, then we were just in time to watch the Mickeys Magical Party time show.
Hmmmm. I hope they keep the hub stage now they've built it this way, as it does make it easy to see the show from a lot of different angles and distances, all over the hub area and Main St (I can imagine for example the Halloween show being spectacular on this stage). However, the show itself got pretty boring after about 5 minutes, and we ended up sitting on the pavement near Casey's outside area, as we were just, well, bored :confused3.

Day 3 continued .....

By 6pm we were back in the Studios. We had intended being there in good time to get a show-facing spot for Cars n Stars today, but even by 6pm, that was a no-no, all full up. So we headed around and further towards the back of the stage. We didn't get any different autographs, I really think we were in the wrong spot this time, but we did see loads of crazy antics, especially from Woody and Jessie, and the Villains (Cruella and Gaston were hilarious).

Again, we left the Studios to the park closing announcement. We walked to a very sunny Village -

straight to Annettes, where we were seated straightaway. I had the Chinese chicken salad, which was divine .

We both love this restaurant, so its a no-brainer for us to eat here on a trip if we possibly can. It was very reasonable too, with shareholders discount my bill was only 28 euros :thumbsup2.

On our way back to the shuttle bus once we'd had dinner, I took some photos of the window displays at the Village Disney store, as I thought they were just beautiful -

By 8.30 we were back at the hotel, and shortly after we were in the swimming pool, where we had a great hour or so splashing about. Back in our room, tucked up in bed, we found "Nouvelle Stars" on tv, which appeared to be a French version of Pop Idol/Britains Got Talent all rolled into one. Very, entertaining :goodvibes.

Tomorrow is the last day of our trip, but I want to stay longer .

Really enjoying reading this Elaine, and wish I could ride Pirates that much!

another great day with more fab photos :goodvibes I love the one with Buzz, it's nice that the photographer took the time to get a good pic and I'm loving the pictures from the windows in the village, just gorgeous :)

Elaine, I so envy you packing so much into your trip - you did sooo well :thumbsup2 I hope when my DDs are your DD's age we can manage as much! Your feet must have been aching!

I agree about the Disney Store windows - I took photos of them when we were there too as they were fab!

Your DD did so well with her character meets didn't she :cutie:

Another lovely day. The chinese salad from Annette's looks delicious

What a loveley photo your daughter looks so cute with Daisy:cool1::cool1:

Thanks everyone :).

DD did do really well with her autographs and pics this time - we'll have to buy a new book when we go back, not many pages left at all in her current one.

Patsy my feet were okay on the 3rd day - but by day 4, they were definitely needing a rest :rotfl:. (Pirates is good for that though ;)).

Great pics and another busy day. :goodvibes Will look at your review of Annettes later - not been there and would like to try it!
