So the next morning we had discussed getting up right away, eating breakfast, and hitting Epcot with a 12:30 reservation at Chef Mickey's! Nap, then AK!!!!
Which, of course, didn't happen! We decided to sleep in, when the alarm went off at 7. This is a pattern in our lives. We aren't morning people
When we finally DID get up, we snacked on some poptarts and hit the boardwalk. We learned quickly that from the Swan, walking to the boardwalk stop and then getting on the Epcot ferry is much more productive/fun than just sitting on the hot boat, bored.
We stopped at guest services and got our happily ever after buttons. and a 1st visit button for DH.
So the first place we walked to was.... Soarin'! of course. We knew it was a gamble to show up this "late" hoping for fps with a timestamp before noon. It was almost 10am by then... we get there and the wait is 40 mins & fp timestamp? 2pm! HECK NO! DH and I decided we weren't willing to wait in line for 40 mins that early in the day and decided to find something else to do. We would be back to Epcot another day of course!
DH loves future-y things. I think EPCOT was his favorite park because of this!
We strolled around and decided on test track. The single rider line was a 10 min wait vs. regular line which was 45 mins. So we hopped on! and only waited 5 mins

We joked that it was our "alone time" away from each other

Now here is my mini rant about the test track single rider line. Children under 7 shouldn't be allowed in that line (unless they're doing a baby swap or something). Around us were several families in the single rider line and the kids were getting upset that they were split in different cars with strangers!

. I felt so bad for one little guy, and then the CM that the mom was arguing with.
Seriously, people! Get in the regular line if you have young kids!! I felt so bad for those little guys
Anyway, we hopped off the ride and went to look through the showroom.
DH thought this car was too cool

(by the way, that is his FAVORITE shirt! He almost died when someone at our old apartment complex office asked him if it was "angry elmo")
We also eyed the blue GMC Sierra (a truck). DH currently owns a 1994 Ford Ranger... and its losing its life. I just know its going to be junk soon! So that sent us into a "what kind of truck should we save for?" discussion. We loved the extended cab because, well, you can fit carseats back there! and the way of the carseat(s) is definitely the turn our life will be taking in the next couple years

So we decided to walk through Innoventions because DH REALLY wanted to see... and he loved it! It was cute to see all the little kids running around in there too.
and then we headed to Nemo! what is that ride called?! IDK, but I love aquariums (AND CONDITIONED AIR) so off we went!
We were sitting in the big clam shell
After we rode Nemo, we spend a good half hour in the aquarium area. I could watch the dolphins all day!
Hidden Mickey!
After nemo it was almost noon. So we ran to go take some photopass pictures... and came across the sweetest PP photog ever and she captured a couple really good pics! She did a good job

I love my DH
We sauntered off to........ the TRONORAIL!!!!!
This is the part where we had one of our more... bad moments of the trip.
We rode to TTC and then got on the resort monorail. I was so excited! So we're riding... and the family next to us starts asking us questions. and so we told them we were going to Chef Mickey's. and they told us we needed to get off at MK and WALK

to Contemporary because the monorail doesn't stop at contemp?!?!?! well, turns out it does. and we watched it stop there. While walking to the contemporary, dripping with sweat in the August heat. I was not a happy camper

. I had to go to the powder room in the contemporary to freshen up because I looked and felt disgusting! and I knew we would be taking lots of pics in this next installment.
