The Pipeline Cancellation Rule?

If this pipeline situation gets worse before it gets better, I hope Disney shows mercy with respect to its DVC cancellation policy. Putting DVC points in holding for 2021 is not really helpful since it appears that most of the summer is pretty much booked up.

As long as the resorts remain open, there is no need for DVCM to make exceptions.

We have the ability to use our points as always. The only owners who can’t right now are international travelers and DVCM is making exceptions for them right now.

Other than that, I think it’s reasonable after a year of suspension for the pandemic to expect the system to operate with the holding rules in place.

FWIW, news reports say the pipeline will be flowing again normally by the end of this week.. Gas shortage is temporary. My sympathies to those caught up in it.

We are driving from Atlanta tomorrow (Friday) and are genuinely worried about being able to get gas.

We cannot make it to WDW on one tank of gas, and it would be terrible if we got stranded somewhere.

I'd suggest filling up at predetermined levels sooner than one normally would. We're driving next week and expect availability to be closer to normal but if not my plan is to start looking to fill up when I get to a half tank. That's pretty conservative but helpful on my peace of mind to have plenty of time to search.

Or any electric vehicle? Seriously, we would would by taking our Hyundai Kona Electric if we were going through that area right now. No need to worry about gas that way.

Gasbuddy app ended up being a huge help trekking down I-95. North Carolina was a disaster during the gas crunch but luckily there was enough gas to be found in Virginia and South Carolina to complete the trip down to Florida.
