Thanks!
She has some great recipes and I love her sense of humor.

Excellent price. I picked this up at this a couple days ago at Borders, and it was FULL PRICE at $27.xx -- by that, I mean I picked it up and put it back down. Yeah, I want it, but not that badly. I'm willing to pay $11.xx

Thanks. I made the mushroom stuffed phyllos yesterday, yummy! I am making hot crash potatoes tonight.

Pioneer Woman is my very favorite blog, she is so fun to read. Bought her cookbook for myself, and gave some as Christmas gifts. It is a great book! And that is a really nice price at Amazon.

I was tempted to buy this book, but in some of the reviews it said that many of the same recipes that were posted on her website. Does anyone have the book and is that true? I love reading her blog! Her recipes are great too!!!:goodvibes

Yes, I think that all of the recipes in the book have been posted on her website. But, I still really enjoy the book. It's nice to just grab the cookbook to follow a recipe instead of looking it up online. Sometimes it's fun to follow her very detailed step-by-step instructions online, but at times it's really convenient to just use the book. Plus, buying her book makes me feel like I am supporting her and showing appreciation for her hard work.

BTW, there is more to the book than just a cookbook. She has several different pages talking about her ranch life - in the humorous writing style that she has perfected. One of my favorite pages shows her 'essential' kitchen supplies with a little commentary on each - i.e. Kosher salt, sheet cake pans, etc.

BTW, did you know that she also is the photographer for the book? She took all of her own photos while preparing the recipes. Well, she didn't take the cover photo - Marlboro Man took that one of her with the kids in the background. My daughter and I went to her book signing in Kansas City. Pioneer Woman is just such a hoot. :cutie:

benolathe - Thank you for the insight! I was just 'introduced' via the web to her after reading about her on another blog site. I've checked out her photographs and read some of her history. She's my kind of girl!! I was hoping she would be my way for a book signing, but I guess not. Oh well thank goodness for the web! Off to order the book!

I love her blog but I didn't buy the book because it's all there on her website. I have only made a few of her recipes because they are heavy on the fat. I do like her sense of humor and her pictures though.
