Tuesday 17 February

Today we had no hot water until 7 o’clock so we were later down to breakfast. We were both more hungry this morning and tucked in well.

We still managed to be in the Park by 8.05. It was noticeably busier today . We started off with 3 goes round on Buzz, although you couldn’t see Buzz today in the waiting area- he had his ‘shower curtain’ pulled round him. I won once - for the first time this trip, much to dtr’s annoyance. She went on Space Mountain and then we crossed over to Fantasyland, stopping on the way to chat to the Small World family.
We went on Peter Pan and Pinocchio, queuing for about 10-15 minutes for each.

We went upstairs in the Castle for a look around and to take a few photos.

Actually Fantasyland looks quite deserted in these.

We went downstairs for a little look in the Castle shop before going over to Liberty Arcade to queue - it was now 9.50 am.

At rope drop, Dtr ran to BTM while I picked up 2 Fps each.

After her ride we wanted to go on Phantom Manor but it was closed due to technical difficulties so we went instead to have a look round Woody’s Round Up.

At FP time we went to BTM for Dtr to go round twice - and to buy the ride photo on the second time round. We decided not to go for Indiana Jones as the wait time was 30 minutes

We went on POTC instead. Walking through Fantasyland we saw Casey Jr and LPDCDF were both closed for the day. We walked down Main Street and I bought a few things in Lily’s while Dtr watched the Character Express go by.

We went out then to the shop in the train station and I bought 2 baguettes and a large bottle of water for 8.50 Euro. We walked back to the hotel, munching on our baguettes. The weather was quite pleasant - we were able to sit by the lake and finish our food before going to our room. We had a bit of a rest (alright - we both went sound asleep) before heading back to the Park for our 3.30 booking at Walt’s. The meal was superb as usual and we were able to watch all the Parade from the window as well. Dtr decided to take a few 'atmosphere shots' first

Once the parade had passed we left Walt’s and went to Phantom Manor and then to Indiana Jones - with very little queuing. It was just getting dark so we had a twilight exploration of Spyglass Hill and the pont suspendu and pont flotant.

We had one more ride on POTC and then went to Fantasyland station to wait for a train. We had decided we wanted to travel a complete circuit of the Park - something we always say we will do, but don’t usually make time for.

After this there was just time for one ride on IASW - our first time for this trip. This ride finished at one minute to 8, so the CM asked if we wanted to go round, which of course we did. After a quick look in the shops we waved goodbye to Mickey at Main Street Station and made our way back to the Hotel. Dtr persuaded me to go swimming and in the end I was glad she did - it is a lovely pool. At ten o’clock it closed so we finally went back to our room for the night.

Tomorrow: we decide to have a day away from the Park

Another great part. Thank you.

Am I right in thinking that they first open the Parkside Diner for breakfast and then the Manhattan Restaurant?

I know how they do it at the DLH. The first open every morning the Inventions and when this is full they start with the California Grill.
As we always wanted to have breakfast at the California Grill we have been there not to early.

If we should stay at the HNY again I would love to have breakfast at the Manhattan Restaurants - that's why I am asking.

It did seem that the Parkside diner was open first. We weren't even sure that the Manhattan restaurant was open, so we wandered down to have a look and it was, so we went in.
We never got to have breakfast in the California Grill either when we stayed at DLH, but we did get to eat in the room reserved for people staying in suites, as California Grill and Inventions were both full. :cool1:

Really enjoyed reading your trippie....and keep expecting we will bump into you when we're there in 3 weeks. You're sure you don't have a secret extra trip planned?!

Another great day!!

Looking forward to reading about your day outside the parks!! :rotfl2:

Another great day and it did seem to be busier that morning for some reason
