Well its over and here is what we can tell you.

The event was great, but not a big turn out. I would say about 250 to 300 people by the time we got there and we were late, and got there by about 7:00am.

The pins look great I have a scan included at the bottom.

People that I spoke to that got there at 9:00 still got the pins. The only one that sold out was the Labor Day pin it was sold out in 20 minutes at MGM, other parks reported the same thing.

There were people that said that other resorts still had them but we found that as of noon they were all gone.

If you need one go to Ebay there are over 100 of them there, but as always they are selling them for $24.99 not bad for a $10.50 pin. (sigh its just not right)

The pin parade was a bit of a disappointment there was no parade it was a pin cart made of corkboard with pins stuck to it. You waited in line for about 2 hours to get to it, they only allow 5 people at a time and they can take as much time as they wanted.

The draw back was that some of the kids that went up there could not make up their minds, plus you had a Disney cast member with you which got you the pins you were not allowed to touch the pins just point.

Some things I observed were that people would stay up there just to see what other were putting up before they made their final choice, because you were only allowed 5 trades total.

The cart was refreshed every hour, but still the majority of what was out there were rack pins from all over.

Mickey made several appearances, and had a lanyard but did not want trade his pins because as he put it they were a gift a gift from Minnie, he did have an assistant with a tradable lanyard though.

They had tables set up so you could trade, one poor diehard trader was so into trading he did not notice Mickey was leaning on chair looking over his shoulder for over 10 minutes, he just kept on trading.

All in all I had fun met new people met some neat new pin traders a good time was had by all.

I think that was me.:)

Did they only give out wristbands at the ticket booths? I am going to be at the MK the day of the MK pin parade. Disney transportation is all I have plus I am not certain I want to lose an EE day. If I am at the MK gates for EE do you think I can get a wristband when the gates open?

Thank you for posting your observations. Thanks, too, for scanning the pins, so we could see what they look like.

what is an EE day? They started handing out wristband about 7 a.m. one and a half hours before the turnstiles opend for admission.

Thank you for the info...:)

I sat at one of those tables where everyone paraded past me to get to that pin cart (float?) You missed it silly pinboy! YOU guys were the parade.

Hi Kathyrn,

Hope everything is going well. By the way EE - Early Entry.

Well on Saturday we went to AK for breakfast and then headed over to Island Merc. and low and behold at 9:30/10:00am the pin cart still had tons of the Labor Day pins. I never made it to the Pin Parade. But, I went to MGM on Sunday to play WWTBAM and on my way out at 4pm I decided to stop at 5&10 just to ask how things went and they still had tons of all the pins from Saturday. YIPEE, no stess for the family, no lines, no heat stroke, and I got every pin!!!
