Friday March 11 - Sadly the last day we have to spend at Disney, tomorrow morning we will be leaving for the long drive back home. Mom & Dad decided they would stay at the resort, they had seen enough and were somewhat tired from all the walking. Brother is going to the MK with us so that they can do SM and BTMRR as they missed them on Monday, he plans to leave and go to Sea World later in the day.
I turned the clock off this morning and overslept a few minutes so we didn't make it to the MK in time to see the opening. Once we arrive we head over to Tomorrowland, get a FP for Stitch and Stitch is outside doing autographs so we get a picture and autographs. DD who was terrified of characters Monday flings herself in his direction yelling Stitch at the top of her lungs like he is a long lost friend. She is getting this down, hug the character, turn around and pose for a picture, say thank you, give the character one last hug. This is cute and funny at the same time as she is so petite. She is almost 2 but the shorts that I bought her to wear on vacation in an 18 months are to big and had to be pinned. Today she is wearing her Minnie Mouse costume from Halloween. DH and brother head over to do SM while DD, DS, and I ride Buzz, this is my first time on this ride and it was great fun. DD did get a little scared in the part where you seem to be going into outer space, it's dark. After this we figure we have a little bit of a wait for them so we go on the TTA - this is our first time for this and it was a nice little ride. DS was sure I was tricking him and we were actually going on SM though as we passed through it. The guys return shortly after we ride TTA and they decide to go on it. As they ride through SM it is broke down so they got on and off just in time. They get in line for Stitch as it is about to start and the wait is less than it would be for us to come back for our FP after this brother decides to head out to Sea World so we have the rest of the day just ours.
We wander around the park alot. We ate lunch at Cosmic Rays, the chicken was really good here, nice change from hotdogs and hamburgers, it came with mashed potatoes and carrots. DS and DD had the chicken tenders and fries, I ordered the adult meal for them and split it as the kids nugget meal is rather small. DH had a cheeseburger again, after he saw my chicken though I think he wished he would have gotten it.
We did a lot today but also saw some things we hadn't before, took today a little slower and enjoy the kids. We rode the Jungle Cruise again, missed getting our same guide by one boat, she sure was a lot of fun on Monday. The guy we had today wasn't as fun, think he has had his feel of the monologue, mentioned as we were waiting to dock that it was going to be a long day. We got to meet Captain Hook & Smee and the CM mentioned to me that Peter Pan and Wendy would be there at 3:30. We met Wendy on Monday but had never done Peter Pan, DS had traded one of his pins with a CM for a Peter Pan and Wendy pin so he definately wants to come back. We walk over to Fantasyland and look around the shops and inside the castle. We ride Dumbo, the sign said a 60 minute wait but it only took 25. When we get off DS and I head over to see Peter Pan and Wendy and after that we see that Jasmine, Aladdin, Genie, and Jafar are all signing so we get those right quick. Then we all walk down Main Street, stopping to look in the shops and buy a few things. The kids make some pressed pennies. We get on the train and ride it around the park, returning to pick up the stroller at the Main Street depot. There are a lot of characters out front. So we head out and get a lot of the ones we haven't seen, Launchpad, Friar Tuck, I can't remember them all.
We start down the other side of Main Street, DH stops at the bakery and buys a Cinnamon roll (more like cinnamon loaf this thing was so huge) and some sugar cookies and then we go to the ice cream shop, get DD and DS a kids cone and I get the waffle bowl sundae, this was so delicious. As we walk around were the Mickey and Walt statue is in front of the castle there are a group of cheerleaders sitting there and they all start commenting on how cut DD is in her Minnie costume, she is walking around loving all the attention, DS says "my little sister is such a show off". We go back to FL and get a FP for Pooh, ride the carosel (?? spelling) and Snow White. Get pictures with the Queen of Hearts. Walk over to Toon town and shop in County Bounty and go in to meet the princesses, we got to see Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. Snow White left a kiss on DD's head. Watch fireworks from Fantasyland and when the rope drops we head for Main Street to get a curb spot for 2nd Spectromagic show. Had a terrific spot right in front of Casey's, run inside to get the kids some hotdogs DS polishes off 1 and 1/2 in no time flat. Here come the carts with the lights, we have our own that we bought at the Disney store. DS is waiting patiently on the curb and then he asks me .......
"mom, can I use some of my money to buy sissy something?"
I almost cried, he wanted to buy her a light up rose with his money, what a great little guy and the perfect ending for a wonderful week. The parade was great and we had a blast.
