The Perils of Piper--Disney During Pop Warner Week!-Dining Dilemas & Plans #30

The seat cover is great! I love the fabric!

Thanks. I like it too. I thought it would go with either a red or blue ECV:thumbsup2. The one I use at WDW with my "own" scooter is lime green with Mickeys done in rhinestones!!

There will be 11 of us!!!! My brother is gong to propose to May (and if she accepts) will move her and her two oldest girls from New Zealand to Katy!!

That means we are adding:

Paul C. (he hates this but it will help to not confuse him with Nancy's Paul)--Paul C. is truly a world traveler. He just got back from Switzerland where he indulged his love of mountain climbing. I'm not sure there are any major ones he hasn't climbed!

May--I don't know a lot about her. I met her at Daniel's wedding. She seems really nice. She was very friendly.

Amy--May's daughter. I think she is either 18 or 19.

Laura--May's youngest. She is 16. I know that she is into sports.

I can't wait for this all to happen. I think May is coming in a month or so to look for a house. Then the move happens in November.

Here is a picture of Paul and May at a party in NZ. I can't find any of the girls....but I hope to have some soon!

Your little place is so cute and adorable. I love how it all coordinates and I LOVE the rag quilt. What a great idea! I also love the utencils on the wall, again, a great idea!

Where do you sew? Do you have to get your machines out each time? That would NOT be fun.

UPDATE!!! Now there are 13 of us going!! May's two 20-something sons are coming, too. So add David and Matthew to the list. I am happy that the girls are catching up to the guys, so now there are 6 girls and 7 guys!

Thank you Jessica. I sew on the dining table....so I so have to get everything out. And you're right. Not fun!

My sister and I are planners, so naturally, we made our dining reservations 180+10 days out! Fast forward to yesterday-----tried to make reservation for my brother's party. Not happening!

We cannot add them to existing reservations.

We cannot get separate reservations around the same time.

We cannot get ANY reservations for the restaurants we want on ANY day of the trip!!

Conclusion---we're keeping ours (my brother knew about the trip in time to let us know he was joining us in plenty of time to book, but didn't make up his mind until last week)---we'll keep trying weekly to get something for them. I'm hoping that since reservations last year were 90 days that they'll release reservations on that day!

OH NO! I have had luck showing up and asking about the extras in my party. I think just once I had 3 more and it wasn't a problem so you can always ask, but be prepared for them to say no or for a longer wait.

I love your name! In fact, my 6 mo old daughter is also named Piper. Our stay in POFQ in Dec overlaps with yours, so maybe there will be a "Piper meet". Take care!

Well, we had dining all set for 7 of us at the 180 mark, but now we've added 6 more :scared1::scared1::scared1: That altered the dining plans a lot!! We were able to change things around and get some of the dining together--some we made separate. Here is what we have:

Dec 4--arrive tour hotels on the monorail catch bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge at MK dinner at Boma for all

Dec 5--Epcot hoping to get reservations for Candelight Processional at the Biergarten for lunch

Dec 6--MK Cinderella's Royal Table for us Crystal Palace Paul's group during lunch

Dec 7--AK 1900 Park Fare dinner for all

Dec 8--MK Crystal Palace breakfast for us Akershus lunch for Paul Everyone to DTD and Disney Quest afternoon

Dec 9--DHS 50's Prime Time for lunch for all

Dec 10--Epcot Teppan Edo dinner for us Chefs de France for dinner for Paul's group

Dec 11--departure day Rainforest at DTD for us and? them Shop then airport (we're not sure the time the other group is leaving)

That will give us 4 table service together (5 if they do Rainforest) and 3 seperate. That was the best we could do! (and took lots of this :surfweb:)

We are planning to spend mornings together at each park and then everybody can do what they want until we meet up for dinner (if we're together that evening) or the evening fireworks/parade/show at each park. I know that I will need time each afternoon to rest, but the "young folk" will probably want to keep going.

We also realize that touring in a group of 13 is unweildy at best, so plan to give everyone a "plan" to follow in the mornings and walk in smaller groups (taking the time to get to know each other better!) We'll also give people a "suggested plan" for afternoons--but since people are on their own, they can follow or not as they choose!! :rolleyes1

Your apartment is so pretty, I love how everything is coordinated! Lucy is so adorable, dogs do love our beds, don't they?

I am really loving your creativity when it comes to the ECV covers, they are too cute.

Wow 13 people, that is amazing. I think it is a good idea to break off into different groups at different times. We will be at MK on the 6th and 8th as well.

Looks like your plans are coming together!

Hi Piper. That's such a nice gift :) Going with a big group can be fun. Years ago (1999) we went with a group of 18. While we didn't do everything together, we did do a lot together. This was before all the ADR's and stuff, so we had a lot of long waits for a party of 18 LOL. I think it would be easier now. Sounds like you are going to have a great trip! We're going to miss you by a day.
