On the perfect gift site...can you have these made to order? Do you have to get the basket the way it is shown?

It sounds like they'll do whatever you want. I told her I liked the new Disney totes they had on the site for the basket for my mother in law but wanted different stuff in it. She was more then accomodating and had some great suggestions too.

She will definitely customize the baskets, and she and her team have such great ideas! We have had them do several custom baskets for crew friends, and I had her do one for hubby with a Chicago Bears theme for our 10th anniversary. I am not going to say all the wonderfull custom things she did for us as to not innidate her with special requests but surfice to say that she is a "fairy God mother" to all and if you ask her she will do all she can for you. We love her and plan to use her again and again and again!

I must agree with BethA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shirley, Norm and staff are the most agreeable people anyone could ever meet. If it's do-able, Shirley will try her best to DO it!!!! Besides the goodies, if you're doing the Western, Shirley (a native of Key West) will throw in Key West maps and guides and her own personal hints at the best places to visit.

Thanks everyone! If you have read some of my other posts you'll know that this is the boyfriends first "adult vacation" and I want to make it as memorable as possible! (that way I'm hoping he'll want to take more!!!)

We've got our surprise limo ride...he has no clue and thinks that we are taking the DCL bus...the look on his face will be priceless!!!

I figured something in the room when we get there. Any ideas what might be good to put in his bag of goodies???

Here are a few ideas for you. Massage oil(s) for "in-room" use, one pair of binoculars to view passing ships and ocean denizens, a DCL beach towel and perhaps a custom t-shirt with embroidered wording like "My First Adult Vacation" with the date...

I'll piggyback on the t-shirt idea...
A lot of trick shops will make customized t-shirts from your photos, and they can add captions, clip art etc. You can get creative with the shirt idea
Hubby and I do custom shirts for almost every one of our cruises! They are lots of fun.

Time to hear from Shirley's other "daughter"(Barb and Beth are the other two)lol

Shirley made an "adult" basket for me for DH a few years ago.
She put in it crackers, cheese, wine, chocolate. For my birthday cruise this year, she did the aroma bath gels, and lotions, a beautiful ceramic candle holder, and pearl necklace and again,
CHOCOLATE...

We were in her shop last week and picked up some wonderful
little jars of stuff to make dip. We are having the artichoke dip
tonight...I'll let you know how it is..but we know it will be fantastic
because Shirley only has the BEST.

She has done baskets for DD...I can't even remember what was
in them...she did a ballet theme once and a horse theme.

As others have said, just call her and she will fix you right up.

If any of you have read my other posts you'll know a little about my Other 1/2...he is a WORK-A-HOLIC!!! and well even kind of a homebody...We've been away before for 2 or 3 days at a time...and with in 24 hours he is ready to come home...So, here are my thoughts...

I figured that I would fill his basket with all of his favorite things. Stuff that we would have readily available for him to munch on if we were at home. Examples, snyders sour dough pretzels, rice krispie treats, his favorite beer and soda. ( he likes mountain dew if he can't have coffee in the AM-and when I say AM, that is the SECOND he rolls out of bed) I figured I might even throw in a book or 2 for the day that we have at sea. Something that he can just kick his feet up with while I'm at the spa...unless that is...he wouldn't mind joining me for a Surial Bath!!!

I love the t-shirt idea...he would flip! Any other ideas on what that one little magical item should be?

He doesn't understand the Magic of Disney...So, he's going to need a good dose of pixie dust!!!

JLP - I love the idea about the tee shirt - can I pick up one for you in Key West that ALSO says Key West - let me know for I leave next Thursday to GO HOME (well only for a few days)
Just drop me a note sweetie or call me at the shop - it won't cost you anything except the cost of the shirt - i know where to get them now without hitting the famous "let me rip you off" tee shirt shops on Duval Street.
