The Pefect GAC Card Holder

I have searched for years to find the perfect holder for my GAC cards and the search is OVER! If you want easy access to your card all day long, and don't want your card to get destroyed, try this:

Rooby Water Resistant Passport Holder

I found mine at Amazon, but there is also a website for Rooby www.RoobyGear.com. The holder comes with a lightweight lanyard but is seperate so could be attached to any other lanyard you have. It is the PERFECT size for the GAC card and has a ziploc on the top so that even in the Florida rains it will keep the card dry. I have used other lanyards in the past from office supply stores, but on my last trip one broke when I wasn't looking and we lost the GAC...had to go get a new one (not a huge deal, but a pain.) I do love wearing it around my neck so that it's just always there, ready for any cast member to look at & read easily.

I am not selling anything, and I have no connection to Rooby...I just had to share my find with my fellow DISers who might be looking for a solution as I had been.

I have been looking for somwthing like that for a LONG time. Thanks for the link. How big is it? Do you have to fold your card to make it fit or does it just slide in? I am just asking because my son is very OCD and freaks out if we fold his card. It hs to be perfect. Thanks again.

It is as if this thing was MADE just for our GAC cards...they fit perfectly without folding.

I have found that covering both sides of the GAC with clear contact paper protets it very well. Then
I just put in in a passport holder that I wear around my neck that has our tickets in it.

Thanks for posting! I saw a special needs/medically fragile child with one a few years ago and asked the parent where they got one and she said that it came with the Make a Wish foundation package. I inquired about one at guest services and got the "I don't know what you are talking about" look. I always end up getting one in every park because ours keeps getting destroyed by the water rides.

Just returned and GAC is tattered but not torn! Immediately ordered after seeing your post-thanks so much! We might not be back for a while, but next time, I will be ready, and in the meantime, we will keep the old one in the case!

I ordered a pair a couple weeks ago after seeing them here on your thread! I should only need one - but want a back up! I think they will work out much better than the ziploc bag we've used in the past! Thanks for the tip!

I contacted Hydropak which makes my backpack that holds liquid and has a tube to drink out of. At first they put the instructions in a heavy duty zip close pouch perfect for the GAC and passes.

I contacted them again late feb and they sent me a very small bladder that folded over several times to be waterproof yet opened easily. The price...free.

I like this company for the product they make for snowboarding and love them for what they do to help SN families.

Just contact them and explain what you would want.
