Has anyone stayed here recently? I am taking a girls trip to Orlando in October. Thinking of trying Priceline. How is the pool here? Can we get a mini fridge brought to our room? I would love to hear any details. Thanks! :sunny:

Have not stayed there recently, but did a few years back. Don't know about the fridge, but there was a "serva bar" in the room. Very nice hotel. The duck march from the foutain at the end of the day is a hoot. If you stay there don't miss it!

I was there on a business trip with customers so I didn't use the pool. But I do not believe it was really anything out of the ordinary.

Just keep in mind that Oct/early Nov are prime covention months. My husband will be down there 10/16-19 for a large convention. Since the Peabody's right across from the Convention Center, it's a very desirable location to stay, eat and drink at.

So maybe my chances of getting it on Priceline are slim and none. Worth a try tho maybe. We have reservations at the Marriott Village right now, but we are wanting something on I-Drive more convenient to Universal.

Serva Bar is a stcoked bar in the room with a small fridge. The front desk gives you a key if you want one. They inventory it every day and charge you for what is used.

I was able to priceline at $75 night for 10/13-15
Wow that is a great deal! That is about the same time we will be going. So does it give you a room with 2 double beds? Do you know if they have free parking there?

I agree you got a great deal. I've always wanted to stay there. We stopped in once just to see the duck walk. Have a great trip! :tinker:

I don't know about the aprking. Priceline will not guarantee type of bed prior to arrival, but I have never had a problem getting the type room I wanted.

Use biddingfortravel.com and you can save big money though priceline anywhere you travel

We stayed there in may through Priceline for $75.00 a night. Weekends are the easiest to get for this rate. There was no parking fee, but there was a resort fee and a couple of other fees. I don't remember the exact amount, $10 to $20 range. For about $30 a night you can upgrade to club level. This will give you free valet parking, breakfast, and appetizers at night in the club lounge. No alcohol though, honor bar. Pool area was nice, nothing special, out door bar and food. Ask for a room facing Disney on a high floor and you can see the fireworks from MK and Illuminations of in the distance. Also we had no trouble getting two double beds.

Good info. Thanks :thumbsup2 I shall see if my friends want to try it on Priceline. From what I understand, it is usually the 4* win on Priceline.

Peabody is a beautiful hotel. We stayed there last year and really enjoyed it.
The sports deck is off the fifth floor, with the very large pool area on one side overlooking the convention center and tennis courts and duck quarters on the other side. This is a great hotel for hanging out and relaxing. Room was large and comfortable. Very few rooms have balconies. We put in a request for a balcony room and was granted our request.
