The "PC" Crowd is now after Curious George...

That woman needs a hobby! Perhaps if she's so worried about what will influence her daughter, maybe she should spend less time worrying about a cartoon monkey and spend some time with her kids instead!

Why don't they just ban Jack and Jill while they're at it? It promotes teen promiscuity. (What were Jack and Jill really doing at the top of the hill) It is also very violent since they both fell down the hill afterward and were seriously injured. Where were Jack and Jill's parents. Who left the hill open to children as well. Why stop there. How about Jack be Nimble? It promotes children wanting to leap over candles in a fanciful manner risking life and limb.

People need to buy a clue sometimes. It is a fictional book for goodness sake.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

With all that said...maybe we should be worrying about Georgie Porgie a little more too. ;)

To summarize, a mother/teacher (who is an animal rights activist) is freaked out because:
1) George ("who shares 99% of our DNA" she tells us) is kidnapped from his home in the wild.
2) "Animal abuse" in general in the film.
3) The film exhibits "bad parenting" on the part of the Man In The Yellow Hat.
:rotfl2: was my first response.
:scared: is my second response - It's bad enough that this woman has reproduced but she also teaches. :crazy2: :scared:

but this woman finds it perfectly acceptable that a monkey wears clothes and a hat? Hello?

Betcha she's sworn out a warrant for this guy.

I wish I had as much time as she does to find things like this to worry about. Maybe if I didn't Dis so much I could find my own "cause" to fight for.

Oh come on! That's just about the dumbest thing I've heard in awhile! :crazy2:

It sounds like she needs to get a life

I'm sorry, but I have to say I agree with her. Think about it. Here's this baby monkey who gets seperated from his home and family. Does the MITHY do anything to reunite him with his family? No, he KEEPS him. If you found a lost child would you keep him/her? I don't think so.
So, now he in essence has kidnapped this monkey and lets him run amok. What kind of parent would let their child behave in such a manner? I really think its shows children that just because something is lost you have every right to keep it. I really think promting such behavior is completely irresponsible, but what else is new in Hollywood...... :worried:

Haha...just kidding.....she's a nut! LOL

Does good parenting make for good movies??? :lmao:

I don't have time for that nonsense...I'm still waiting for someone to tell me where Snow White slept? I saw the seven little beds, and I don't remember a couch in the place. Who was she shacking up with? What kinda message are we sending our children?

That's soooo stupid..

But then again, anyone else thinking that this lady is basically wanting her 15 minutes of fame?? I mean really.. Why else would she make a complete #ss out herself? Tiss like those ppl on AI who audition for American Idol fully knowing they suck, but they just want to be on TV for 3.4 seconds . :thumbsup2

In defense of this poor misunderstood much-maligned well-intentioned good-hearted well-meaning teacher and upstanding citizen and credit to her school and community...

everyone's entitled to their own psychosis. This just happens to be hers! PETA got to her before medical help could arrive.
