On the travel channel they talked about buying a "Passport" that you could take around World showcase and have the different countries "stamp" and write in it. Has anyone done this? I think they said the Passports cost $10 and makes for a great souvenier.

think they are still around - but always though it was more for kids.:confused3

you can get it in the countries gift shops

Those passports are stamped at the "Kidcot" locations at each country within the World Showcase. There is usually a craft project for the children to do while visiting the country. :yay:

DW and I did these years ago on our honeymoon - and then years later our kids did them. They are still available. They are a nice, inexpensive souvenir. They come with stickers for each country's page, and then at each location the CM will stamp something and write something to "validate" your visit to the country. Some will write something personalized in their native language. The most fun were seeing our names written in Chinese, Japanese and Arabic.

Can you purchase the EPCOT passport kit in advance? I'd like to purchase two for my grandchildren and give them to them when we arrive? If you can order them ahead of time where can they be purchased? ThankS!

If you find this out can you post the info? I too would like to get them before my trip if possible! Thanks...:wizard:

Is this something other than the mask on the tongue depressor?

Hugh?:confused3 I am talking about an actual passport type of booklet.

I never saw anything other than what the kids do, a mask that they color and then each country adds a symbol. My DGC like to do it, well, they like to color. I never saw anything for adults.

I found it on All Ears. Net. Read half way down the page about World Showcase Passports. Glad to hear they still sell them. I'll be getting mine stamped right along with the kids!

We just did this last week, they are for sale in each of the countries gift shops. This year we bought ours in Mexico. Here is a picture!

CM's did write a message in their native language or if they spoke english they wrote something about their country...like the girl from the UK put welcome to the UK home of Alice in Wonderland. What I think is neat is to see all of their different handwriting in the book. This was the fourth time we have done this and has become a favorite keepsake! :)

There is a neat book called Guide to the Magic for Kids which has places to collect the passport stamps plus a bunch of other fun stuff to do while on a WDW vacation. Here is a link to the book on Amazon:

One of the preview images in the Amazon listing shows the page for the Mexico pavilion. You can see where it has spaces for the passport stamp, for the CM to write sometime and where the youngster can draw a picture of the country's flag.

There are also journal pages where kids can write about their trip, pages for each attraction where kids can indicate whether they liked it or not and write a few thoughts, stickers, etc.

Our son completed one of these books a couple years ago and DD wanted her own a year later. They are kinda bulky to carry around but lots of fun for the kids.

Just thought I'd share that option for anyone interested in the Passports. :goodvibes

Thanks Tim! I think these are really nice things to do with the kids (or adults!) that combines a learning experience along with a very unique keepsake. Wonder why I haven't heard much about it?

I going next week, I can pick them up if you would like (and mail them to you).

I always find it to be a good diversion for the kids. They think it's great. I think it's great too! They get to stamp their way around Epcot, while I drink my way around the countries!:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1
