We got here Saturday night, and were only in the parks from 5 -8ish, as we were too tired to deal with the crowds and DH was being kinda grumpy because of some rude people (including a horrid experience with a 20 something woman in line at coke corner who was an absolute jerk to us and it totally ruined our magic for that night :sad2:) Fantasmic was absolutely crazy that night in terms of people waiting. It was impossible to walk through. HM had a wait of at least 30 minutes, Splash was 60 minutes, Space was 75 minutes. Just not very fun at all...And, our hotel that we have stayed at before, Anaheim Marriott Suites, was just not as good as we remembered it 3 months before. We were not impressed and it probably didn't help that there was a family reunion there that were constantly making noise throughout the lobby, hall, and rooms. The room was clean, just seemed like we were on a floor that hadn't been remodeled or heavily cleaned recently (like carpets and tile cleaning, not the norm day-to-day stuff).

Sunday, I had to get DH away from Disney and all the rude people we had encountered in our 3 hours there. We went to Huntington beach and it was great. But since you're all here for Disney, I won't write about that here. ;) Sunday night we headed to the parks and rode Mulholland Madness (15 min wait) and then over to Toy Story Mania (which was a 40 minute wait, as always). We then wasted time and such, then went to Disneyland and walked right on Pirates during the 9 pm fantasmic. Lined up around 10 PM by the light tower, followed by mass amounts of ppl behind us around 10:15-10:20. IMO, still can't believe people pay $60 to sit in a seat 5 feet in front of me. Just not for me, I guess!

TODAY
Checked into PP today - and Space, BTMMR, the monorail, and Indy have all been closed for an extended period of time today (all between 10 and 2 PM, too). Boo! Still haven't been on Ghost Galaxy. Waited 5 min for Haunted Mansion this morning, was 20 minutes when we came out. Thats the difference between 10 and 10:10 I guess! Headed to the Angels game tonight and considering doing MM tomorrow before checking into our "home" at GCH. Its pretty crowded for being a Monday. Also, park hours have been extended tonight until 9 PM, instead of 8.

Food:
Food is pretty good this trip, been splitting meals, and I like eating kids meals, and that has helped with budget. We're right on target :cool1: But we also have witnessed many families buying lunch for 4 people and spending $100! :scared1:Also, Turkey legs are now $8!!!!!!!!!

Glad you got to see the Angels clinching party (I'm assuming they're going to clinch it - the score is 11-0 right now), so maybe that makes up for some of the negatives of the trip.

Oh no! So many things have gone wrong so far! I totally feel your pain about rides being down for an "extended period of time".

How was the new dragon? Looks amazing from all of the pics I've seen. And I too cannot justify the cost of Fantasmic reserved seats. I'm even willing to sit on the hard cement for an hour, eating some dessert so that I can get a good seat for the show. I've already paid a decent amount to get in the park, no way am I gonna pay almost the cost of another ticket just to have a guaranteed seat for a 20 min show and some small desserts.

Wow, that rant was longer than expected. But if other people want to do it, fine. Less competition for the free seats.

Ok, now I'm heading over to your TR. :wizard:
