We left today :sad1:. We did get to rope drop at DCA by way of the GC, "walked with purpose" straight to Toy Story only to find out it was down (again). So we left the park, went to DTD and ate breakfast at the Rainforest. After that, we got on the monorail for a quick last spin around the park. As we passed by the Esplanade, it appeared that the lines for DL and the lines for DCA were so long they were meshing together. (btw, this was at about noon today)

As we approached the Tomorrowland station, it just seemed like the park was the busiest we'd seen it on our trip. We jumped off the monorail, got back on and then left to drive home. Made pretty good time (4.5 hours) with some creepy crawlie traffic in LA and over the Grapevine.

Just wondering if anyone was at the parks today and what their take was on the crowds.

I don't know about other places, but our schools are out all week...

I read that earlier today that both parks were busy, they were doing some kind of filming in DL and they were warning to get a hand stamp as parks were close to reaching capacity.

It's been VERY busy! Been in DCA all day - heading to DL in a few minutes. They were giving handstamps upon entry this morning but didn't check for them tonight when coming back in.

We were there and I felt like DL was very busy. Still had fun, but definitely not a big fan of huge crowds. Fireworks got cancelled due to the wind as wel.

Cal State University Fullerton is out for the whole week too. Believe me there are plenty of college-aged Disney fans. Including myself!:thumbsup2

Also remember that So Cal & Deluxe APs are blacked out starting Thursday so there may be higher crowds the next couple of days due to that. Of course we are expecting huge crowds all weekend so it wouldn't surprise me if they've already started. :)

Oh wow, I'm sooo glad I'm not going to Disneyland anytime this week! It's just too crowded. :headache:

Just kidding.:sad1: I want to be there right NOW!

So what happens if the parks reach capacity on Fri & Sat? On Friday, I'm goin to DL 1st thing in the morning and staying all day. On Saturday, I'm going to DCA 1st thing in the morning, leave around 1pm, get some lunch and then head to DL in the late afternoon. As long as I get a hand stamped in the morning, should I be good for re-entry later in the day?

Yes, in theory you should be good if you're stamped. :)

We go every year at this time. We usually leave the Tuesday before Turkey day but left a day earlier this year. Due to family obligations, yesterday was our last day as well. It did seem busier than it had been on the previous Mondays before Thanksgiving we've been at. We grabbed fastpasses at every open window. The lines were insane (45 minute wait for Buzz at 10:00!). Peter Pan was backed up out into the walk way at 8:30 (8:00 park opening!)

we try to go late at night when we know that there will be less people or at 8.00 am if we wake up
