The overlooked Earl

After numerous trips to the World, I think one of the most underappreciated dining experiences is the Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. With amazing sandwiches priced at $5.00, and sides for $1.25, how can you go wrong?! We fed a grand gathering, ages 4-94 here more than once, because everyone could find something they liked, and it was easy on the pocketbook.

We do not care for it, it is like a Subway to us and we do not like Subway. I prefer WPE, it is not that much more and the food is awesome with huge portions...enough to share

unbelievably reasonable prices for the disney area and, IMO, good-to-great tasting sandwiches. (of course, i also think subway is tasty.)

Believe it or not, two years ago, we chose to eat there on Christmas Eve (we have teenage boys and noone EVER agrees on ONE place) - our family LOVES Earl of Sandwich and we've introduced so many other friends to that restaurant...so cheap, so good, and I can still have my Ghiradelli Sundae afterwards!

We just tried it this past trip. I liked the sandwhich, but the potatoes in the potatoe salad, some were raw. We went on a sat. and the seating was horrendous. We found l table for 2 inside and I held it while dh got our food. It was a zoo and very loud. The takeout section looked good and well stocked. I would go again if the seating was not crowded, there were no seats outside either.

Even though the sandwiches are closer to $6 a piece these days ($5.75 to be exact), they are still a bargain. We eat there at least once per trip. My personal fave is the All-American. Never had a sammy that good at Subway.

I love Earl of Sandwich! Great food, and great prices! I'm lucky in the fact that one opened about 30 min from where I live last year so I can get my EoS fix more often!

My DH just love, love, loves Earl of Sandwich. He insisted on going there twice our last trip. And yes, we will be going again on this one.
