The "Other Parks"

I realize this is a Disney forum, and though I've been to DW many times, I've never been to Universal Studios. What is age appropriate for these two parks? I'll be traveling with kids aged 6 and 4 and not sure if we should dedicate a day for our next trip?

There is a Universal Forum on the main DisBoards page, and that might help you get some more specific answers. While I know Universal has some kid friendly rides, I think they are overwhelmingly for the bigger "kids". That's just my first thought, but I could be wrong. Of course, I'm a big chicken, so I think lots of the rides are scary when they might not be to most people.
