It's sordid and scandulous and right up my alley.
I picked up the book at the library's book sale last Saturday. I love it! I was just told a few days ago there is also a movie.
The book is always better than the movie.
Sounds good! It's sordid and scandulous and right up my alley.
I'm reading the "sequel" right now- The Boleyn Inheritance.
This from a girl who bought a set of coasters featuring H8 and the girls on her honeymoon:
I freaking loved that book. I have read all Allison Wier's Tudor histories, which make a great companion to differentiate between truth and dramatic licence.
Be careful about Gregory's backlist, though, I picked up her Wideacre books and was horrified and disgusted. I'm no prude, but incest is too much for me.
I loved the book!!!Sadly, I was pretty disappointed by the movie. It is just such a huge story it would be impossible to capture it all in a movie. A mini-series could be great though...
