The ORIGINAL POP Fridge swap-Closing after 5+ years!!

We would love to be considered for the open Sept dates now that you have finalized your vacation. Our vacation dates are Sept 14-21, 2010 and we have a Disney confirmation number.

I never thought I would be watching someone else's vacation planning so closely. :lmao:

Invitation to all my swappers, past and present.

Join me on my Pre Trip Report (PTR). I just started it so there's not a lot there yet but there will be. Please join me on my PT journey. Hope you enjoy it. I also plan on following it up with a TR. This will be our first time at F&W and using QSDP. I am looking forward to not having to have had to make ADRs and making ressie times (when not always convenient) I am also looking forward to the 3 of us having 42 SC to use as well as 42 CS meals. Got a call from vandort this a.m. while we were at the beach. She got the fridge with no trouble. We now do have a toaster (thanks again vikkil90!), a few food storage containers and some mickey heads with double stick tape with the fridge.

I will be adding some hangers (the kind you get when you buy clothes) and probably a table top fan as well.

If anyone wants to add a coffeemaker I'm sure those who need their coffee would appreciate it. for me, my caffeine of choice is Diet Coke! :thumbsup2

Just sent a PM, but figured I'd post it here, too. I'm looking for the dates of 1/10-1/15/11? My 25 yo DS and his DGF will be going to Pop on 1/10/11 about 4PM and leaving about 9:30AM on 1/15/11. Please let me know as they'd love to take part of this swap.

I'm working on the Sept. 2010 dates right now. At this time I don't have any requests for the dates right before me.:confused3 I really don't want to have the fridge in storage (if possible).

Depending on who I pick I have the fridge available from the 23rd or the 25th to the 27th. Since I will be coming from the Sarasota/Bradenton area on the 27th I'm not sure of my arrival time. It will be sometime after check-in. Maybe even late enough that it would be better to do the swap early the next morning (28th)

If you will be there from 23rd (or 25th) to 27th I would love to have you use it. Please send me a PM asap. Oh, and you get the added benefit of getting to me me and my DD(then 11). :laughing:

It's done!:) After taking many things into consideration I have 3 new swappers for September. Thanks to all that asked for dates. I wish I could have accommodated everyone.;) I redid it several times and I think this works out the best. :goodvibes

I have overlaps in all 3 swaps and want all 3 swappers to do all they can to do an in-person swap so that the fridge will still be there for my trip on 9/27.

Here are the names of the winners-congratulations!

mandyjo Sept. 12-19th
goisles26 Sept. 17-25th

So here's what I would like to see happen:

-annamarieda would like to do the swap about 7 a.m. on the 8th. Hope this works for you.
mickeymaker2003 and mandyjo. I think if you swap on the 13th that would probably work out the best for both. This way mickeymaker2003 you won't have to worry about doing the swap on your check out day.
mandyjo and goisles26. I would like to see you do your in-person swap in the evening of the 18th or first thing on the 19th.
goisles26-you will be leaving the fridge for me at LS. I will send you my info for the box.

For now I don't have a swapper who will be there right before me so unless someone asks for 9/25 (or late 9/24) to 9/27 goisles26 you will be putting the fridge,etc. in storage for me at Luggage Services. I am really hoping to get a request for those days though.;)

mickeymaker2003, mandyjo, and goisles-if you are in another swap (for multiple fridges in multiple rooms) please let me know as I think it's more fair to give the fridge to someone who doesn't already have access to one.

Also, if anyone is unhappy with not getting all their dates let me know and I can replace you with one on of the ones who didn't get it.

mickeymaker2003-since annmarieda is arriving soon (9/1) please go ahead and make contact and arrangements asap.

To all 3 new swappers-go ahead and make your arrangements as soon as you can and let me know when you have done so. Also, send my your info asap-full name, ressie #, check in and out dates with approx. times, and contact # while at WDW (for emergencies only). Morning all!

Just want to make a quick point. In my opinion (and I the ruler maker here!:lmao:) The party arriving at POP is to be the one to pick up the fridge. Since the departing guest may be busy checking out, etc. it isn't fair to them to ask them to deliver to your room. Please don't ask the departing swapper to come to your room when they have many other things on their minds.

I have always been the one to pick up the fridge when I have been the arriving party. It's actually quite easy as I need to get a luggage cart anyway to bring our luggage, etc. to our room. Then when I depart I have the next swapper come to my room to pick up. This is the fairest method to all and it is how I prefer it.

If there isn't a swapper there on the date you arrive you would be picking it up from LS anyway.

If this is a problem with anyone let me know and I'm sure I can make other arrangements (for your dates ;)).

Oh, and one more thing-PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not put the fridge, etc. in Luggage Services if you and the swapper you are swapping with are there at the same time. Please take the few minutes extra it requires to pick up the fridge, in person, and remember that you are saving a lot of money so the few minutes it takes to make, and keep arrangements, isn't asking too much, is it? When I made some of my decisions as to who would get the fridge I did it based on the fact that some of the dates overlapped which guaranteed an in-person swap-which is the only way to make sure the fridge doesn't go MIA.
