I've already put my two-cents in about families traveling with kids, but how about the other side of it: Myself and my buddy John are up early next week and are hoping not to step off property. What would people suggest for the best entertainment at night? It doesn't look like anything of interest is playing at the HoB.

Also, are there any good bars to hang out at in either the DLH or GC?

I cant believe knowone has responded!:scared1: There is alot to do at night for the "martini set", for a couple of guys I would suggest going to the ESPN Zone, great food and a huge bar selection, with tons of T.Vs with sports! Also the music at the House of Blues is pretty good, call ahead for music listings and ressies, etc. And the bar at the Grand is beutiful:thumbsup2 , you and your buddy will really enjoy! Have fun!! By the way if you are staying on property, you can BYOB for your room.pirate:

Cool, thanks. We've done ESPN before, and as a born-and-bred East Coaster, was let down because in in Pacific time most of the games were already over by the time we sat down to watch. Not any fault of the Zone. It also seems so small compared to the one in Times Square. Besides, we're looking to be a little more social than just watching TV.

I thought I saw a picture once of Tortilla Joe's having live entertainment and people dancing. Does that sound right?

I think we will be checking out the Grand Californian bar though. It's about time I step into that building.

Ok, about the Mexican food at T. Joes:confused3 Im a S. cal girl and we happen to have some of the best Mexican food around, however, I ate there twice and both times I was not impressed:scared: . However, the drinks were great, some of the best I have had in DTD. If your going to go though, ask if you can go upstairs, or be placed near the band. Not sure if they do thin only in the summer, but DTD always has live entertainment next to ESPN Zone. Have a blast, are you staying at a DRH??:flower3: :cheer2:

I've had the food at T. Joe's before and liked it. Still a gringo at heart even if I'm living in the Southwest now.

We're staying at the DLH. I recently became a DVC member and this is my first trip using it for anything.
