October 15-22, 2005
The Cast:
The Funny Man, we will call him FM for short; age 26; we met 7 years ago; he has been my boyfriend for 4 years, and now my fiancé for about 10 months. In his defense, he is quite funny. However, I have heard them all, over and over again! FM and I met at my part-time job during college: Kmart. Ah, got to love the BIG K. I started working there when I was 18 but FM and I didnt start dating until just after my 21st birthday. I cant picture my life without him. (I guess that is a good thing since I am kind of stuck with him now, huh?
) The Screamer; Jennifer48 here on the disboards; age 25; best friend of 11 years. The Screamer tends to scream, obviously. Put her on any ride and she will scream bloody murder. And not the Woo-hoo, I am having so much fun screams. I am talking the There is a man with an axe trying to cut my head off screams! Screamer and I met freshman year of high school, in one of those silly classes they make you take as an elective . . . Communication Skills or something like that. Senior year, we finally had another class together: Meteorology. It turns out we both were interested in pursuing Meteorology in college. The rest is history . . . we ended up at the same school studying Meteorology . . . graduated together . . . and we have been friends ever since. With the exception of family, no one else has known me so well and so long.
Thank God for her. The Burger Guy; we will call him BG for short; age 33; good friend of 1 year; we call him Burger Guy because I have eaten at least 20 meals with this man, and I have NEVER seen him eat anything except for a burger. BG is the newcomer to our lives. Screamer and BG work together. Same company, different departments. Great guy. We have spent quite a bit of time with him since the time he has come into our worlds. He is just so lucky to have our company now (HA!). This is our first trip with BG, and I am very much looking forward to seeing him eat something other than a burger.
K-Bug; Myself; The author of this report; age 25; Why K-Bug you ask? Well, I drive a cute little red VW Beetle. Thats why!
It's all about Friends:
We have a very ambitious plan since we it is just us 4 friends, and only have our own tired sore feet to hold us back! We will not be stuck in second gear!
Saturday, October 15th: Depart lovely Logan airport at 9am. After a stop in Ohio, we will arrive in Orlando around 3:00pm. We are renting a Trailblazer and will be heading to the Radisson Resort Worldgate. We actually got our plane tickets for free (all four of them) because FM and I went to some ridiculous timeshare thing that we had no intention of buying into. In order to redeem them properly, we had to stay at this hotel. We have a PS for Bomas at 6:00pm and will be accompanied by my parents. My parents live on the Gulf Coast of Florida, and are going to come up and have dinner with us in celebration of my Fathers 50th Birthday.
Sunday, October 16th: Animal Kingdom during the day, followed by some Fantasia Minigolf.
Monday, October 17th: Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. We are spending the extra money for the Universal Express Pass (should be worth every penny!).
Tuesday, October 18th: Epcot, including the Segway around the World Tour at 9:30am (A treat from Screamer and BG, as a thank you for us giving them our free plane tickets!! Thanks guys!!)
Wednesday, October 19th: Typhoon Lagoon, and Spectromagic. (This also happens to be the 4 year anniversary of FM and my first date).
Thursday, October 20th: Magic Kingdom. We have a PS for Cinderellas Royal Table for dinner.
Friday, October 21st: Disney Studios with the Fantasmic Dinner Package.
Saturday, October 22nd: Downtown Disney for all those last minute souvenirs, and then on the flight back to good old Boston by 3:00pm.
Will we make it? Will this trip make our day, week, or even our year? Will we still be Friends in the end? I think so. . .but just in case. . wish us luck!
