Hi everyone!
So, less than two months to go…I think it’s just about reasonable for me to write a PTR, don’t you?
By the time we go it will be a year since my last trip, and I am having withdrawals. We’re getting even more raised eyebrows than usual over this one, because my dear old Dad is coming along.
However, this just makes me even more excited because my dad is the most fun person I or anyone else knows :) it's going to be a very silly, probably reasonably intoxicated, grown up family holiday of nonsense and magic.

The cast
Samantha (sister) – 18 – loves Stitch, big rides, and eating too many steaks in DLP
Lisa (me) – 23 – love Tower of Terror, Chip n Dale, magic and cocktails
Morna (Mum) – 50something… - loves BTM, IASW, pastries and people watching
Sam (Dad) – turns 64 on the trip – loves Goofy, rollercoasters, and has no idea what he’s letting himself in for
As many of you know, the last time we were all in DLP together it was DLRP and it was 1994. Us then...

The facts
Staying: Sequoia Lodge (booked for the parents, with sister and I buying APs on arrival and adding ourselves to the room. Yes, it’ll be cosy)
Dates: Mon 4th June – Fri 8th June. Yes, it’ll be busy.
Travel: I’m tagging on a wee weekend in London so flying from Heathrow while the others fly from Glasgow. Meeting at the airport, getting TGV to DLP. All flying back to Glasgow together.

I’m dying to get a full blown itinerary on the go, but here’s the high level plan for now:

Monday
Arrive around 12
Check in and buy APs (excited!)
Traditional Cable Car lunch
Dinner at Walts before Dreams (possibly the special Dreams menu deal, still deciding)

Tuesday
After EMH, whole day at the Studios
Lunch at Blockbuster Café
Dinner at Rainforest Café

Wednesday
Lunch at Colonel Hathis
Dinner at Annette’s
Evening in the Village, cocktails etc

Thursday
Lunch at Blue Lagoon (my choice) or Silver Spur (sister’s choice)
Dinner at Café Mickey – dad’s birthday dinner!

Friday
Last go of favourite rides before having to leave around 11am ☹

Well hi Natalie :wizard: :cool1:
You need to introduce yourself on the boards and tell everyone about your trip plans. I'm still so excited I managed to persuade you into a DLP trip!
You'll be addicted to the DIS in no time x

i will eventually, i'm too shy :rotfl: i'm just going to read loads of pre trip reports just now to get ideas of what i should be doing! i will need your help :thumbsup2

i love my new ticker! :goodvibes

I think it is perfectly reasonable to have already started a June PTR:rotfl: You are one step ahead of me though as our meal plans aren't decided yet. Looking forward to hearing more about what you will be up to:goodvibes

You've started :thumbsup2

Love all your plans and it's lovely that you'll all be back there together.

Look forward to hearing more :goodvibes

Meals are now booked!
Monday Walt's 6.30pm (not the Dreams menu, after much deliberation)
Tuesday Blue Lagoon 8pm
Wednesday Annette's (not booked, obv)
Thursday Cafe Mickey 6.30pm

Just hope that now the parks are open til 11 this means we won't miss parade or Dreams Monday and Thursday...might have to phone and adjust the times once the show schedule is out.

We're so excited about the late opening hours.
Tuesday is VIP fastpass day aka "crazy busy ride day" as we'll be going round and round on eveerrrything as many times as we can.

love ur plans!! ur gonna have a blast AND park open til 11!!!!!!!

ull leave just as we arrive, so leave the place tidy :rotfl2: and dont wear out the rides after ur vip fast pass day!!

Yay!! Another PTR :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear all about this one with your Dad along for the fun too!!

Make sure you take lots of photos of your food in Walts for me - DH doesn't want to eat there on our next trip so I'll be getting withdrawal symptoms!! :rotfl2:

Your plans sound wonderful! :goodvibes At the moment we're in the process of trying to convince my dad to come along on our December trip. He's always reluctant at first but loves it once we get there!

How brilliant that you're doing your first full family trip since '94. You'll have to give me some selling tips - trying to convince my parents to come with us for a pre-Christmas trip next year!

Can't wait for your TR :goodvibes

It wasn't hard to sell to my mum, she loves it - the 3 of us girls went together in November 2010 and when we got back my dad asked a bit sadly why he hadn't been invited :rotfl2: we started saying we'd go for his birthday as a bit of a joke then it turned into a real plan.
Needless to say, friends and family think we're mad, 4 adults going to Disneyland, but what else is new.

Of course I will :) we're all picking our meals already, except my poor dad who just asked in bewilderment why Disney made you decide what you wanted to eat a month in advance. We explained that it wasn't necessary, it was just fun, and he wondered why he agreed to this whole thing :rotfl2:

:lmao: Bless him! Does he know what he's let himself in for?!! ;)
