Tuesday 14 April
After a good night sleep we were up early and at the Park by 8.05. They hadnt opened up yet, so we didnt miss anything- I think they were waiting for us to get there!
We started off on Buzz and had 2 goes round each winning a game. Dtr went on Space Mountain twice and then we crossed to Fantasyland. Pinocchio and Snow White were both shut which meant there was quite a queue at Peter Pan. By that, I mean it was 10 minutes long certainly nothing like the queues that form later in the day.
We went on this and then decided to go to Salon Mickey. Our booking at the Magic Circus did not include breakfast, so we had taken some cereal bars with us but we thought a muffin at Café Mickey would also go down well. It wasnt very busy at all we were on our own most of the time.
The place looked quite tidy, apart from my stuff slung around.
We left there just before rope drop and went to queue at the end of Liberty Arcade for Frontierland. Dtr was off like the wind as soon as the music started and was the first in the queue for BTM. I collected 2 lots of FPs for later, then took a few photos while waiting for her to ride.
The riverboat getting ready for its first trip of the day.
After this first ride we walked to Indiana Jones this was about 10.15 and I had to take my hoody off as it was quite hot already. As we walked back towards BTM we saw Mr Smee and Captain Hook coming out of the side entrance at Colonel Hathis. Captain Hook didnt want to rest the book on the table, which was damp, so he leaned on Dtrs back instead.
The first FP was used and Dtr was quickly off and ready for the second. Unfortunately the ride broke down and so we ended up queuing for about 30 minutes for the second ride. This was still much quicker than the normal queue of course.
We did go over to see if Casey Jr was open but it was closed all day as was LPDCDF.
We strolled back to the Silver Spur ready for our lunch and then watched a bit of the much maligned Mickey show, which we found okay - plenty of energy and catchy songs.
When this was finished we went back down Main Street where I had a little look in Bixby Bros while Dtr watched Minnies Train go by. We caught our bus to the hotel for our afternoon nap makes us sound like toddlers .or OAPs, doesnt it?
On the way I took a couple of shots of the new banners.
Back at the Parks, we went into Disney Studios where I finally bought myself a lanyard and some pins to start off with. After this Dtr met Donald Duck
and then we settled down into a good spot to watch the HSM show. Fortunately this meant Dtr was called on 3 times to take part by shooting basketballs into the hoop, by banging on the bucket with a kitchen utensil and to take part in the dancing. It is a great little show with good dancing and singing. The kids all seemed to enjoy it.
Oops - this day I took a lot of piccies, so I'll have to carry on later........
