The one that got away

My husband really wants to eat at Sci-Fi so I have been stalking the reservation site for days trying to get an ADR for a dinner. All hours of the day night I am trying to get this reservation (my insomnia has actually been a help). So today I sit down to try again and a 5:25 pm ADR is available! I'm in such shock that the one I've been trying for is actually listed that I lost my breath! I immediately checked the time and went to confirm. I entered my phone number, checked the box to approve the mumbo-jumbo that I have never read, and clicked confirm with a big whoop! Then my internet service went down. I used a year's worth of self control and did not throw the modem across the room. It came back up pretty quickly and I refreshed the page and low and behold the reservation was still there! I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats! I clicked confirm again and got an error message. Something couldn't download? I tried again. I never knew I was trying to download anything when I got a reservation. I finally refreshed to start over thinking it could still be there. It seemed like an hour in my head but it was only a couple of minutes according to the clock. Surely it was still there. But no. Gone. It is things like this that make me wish for the days when I looked like this .

That happened to me on our last trip with both Sci Fi and trying to get Tusker House at the time we wanted. Both were changes we were making to our ADRs a few weeks before our trip.

Don't give up, keep trying because I managed to get both of the ones I wanted before we left!

I am so sorry that happened to you! Sounds like you have the sort of luck that I do. Keep trying. I really hope you get what you want.

I had a similar experience with CRT last week. Really wish I had never seen it available for the time I wanted... oh well. I got lucky the same day and scored a LeCellier I'd been looking for so, win some, lose some. It's just a meal afterall...

I don't want to get your hopes up but when this happened to me, the computer actually booked the reservation. I never received an email confirmation or # so I thought it didn't go through. I called WDW, gave them my phone # and there it was.

It might be worth a call - Good Luck!

BTW, the download might actually be a pop-up (I believe the "what are you celebrating" message is a separate pop-up box). It's possible you received the message because you have your pop-ups blocked.

I'd call and see if you got it. Wouldn't it be funny if the reason it 'got away' was because you got it?
