One of them didn't say a word whatsoever, the other engaged with us and at least talked. The one who didn't say a thing has been rather aloof and snooty for a while now. Not sure what crawled up his butt.

Hey Bret, not sure if you are familiar with the Where in the World thread over on the Photography board, but I just joined them recently and we all decided to start a Where in the Land Thread on the DL Community Board. You might have fun on that thread and post some excerpts of your pics. It's a fun game and fun group of people, so far we've had some really easy ones, but on my next trip (next weekend) I'm going to take some real stumpers!

I posted on my thread about the D23 Expo. Here is what I said on my post from last night.

I was also going to ask you if you and Fran are planning on getting the Sorcerer's package for the D23 Expo in 2013? I thought about the Sorcerer's package since I want to get a head start on the shopping at the D23 Expo Dream Store and the Treasure Trove. But $1500 a head is just way out of my league. I will be planning on getting the tickets to the D23 Expo on the 9th next week. I was also going to ask you how was the Hilton Anaheim when you and Fran stayed there last year? I am considering staying there next year cause it is one of the closest hotels to the Anaheim Convention Center.

Long day of getting Arline's apartment all cleaned out. Brought back the cable boxes, put the 40 inch TV back into storage, took a load to the thrift store and then brought back the stuff we want to keep/sell to our house. Then we spent a couple hours moving stuff around in the garage.

We told the employees about shutting down the store today. Fran has been listing music on eBay like crazy for the last week and total blowout prices just so the stuff will leave our house with someone else paying for shipping and we at least get a small amount of money for it.

Glad you're just about sorted with her stuff AND moving on with the whole store situation. All important stuff although a lot of work. Hope you get some rest too...

Had to go to my annual periodontist check today continuing the dental theme. All good
Had to have a small graft done where he took a small piece of muscle from inside the upper palate and put over the top of a tooth 7 years ago which he did remarkably quickly and has held wonderfully.
So I spent a few hours wandering the shops and chatting with DBF through FB messenger as I wandered. [Yes I'm of that generation walking around staring at a phone screen...but I bet you wouldn't expect me to be chatting with someone 10,600 miles away ]

Didn't buy much which is always good. Just bought a GPS to use here that also has a SD card slot so I can use other country maps on it more easily.

Yikes on the dental situation Queenie that sounds a lot more than just a routine check up! We have appts next week. Keeping on the dental theme. Hopefully just a regular cleaning. I need to make sure I keep up on brushing. I've also been using my "dental tools" to scrape the extra bits off my teeth. That may be TMI, but I'm glad I bought a set because that whole plaque build up between my teeth drives me bonkers. I'm glad I now have sharp object that I can use between my teeth!

Oh the check up was routine today. The procedure was 7 years ago in 05. And the dental assistant was really curious about the procedure so he was 'showing' off how well it has held and that all is good

Glad to hear that you and Fran will be buying the Sorcerer's package on the 9th. I remember last year when the Premier and the Sorcerer's were sold out really quickly so I would assume that it will be the same thing. I really appreciate it Alison for offering to getting the merchandise the day before the Expo is open to the public. When we get closer to the dates of the Expo next year, I will talk to you more about the Expo and what I want at the stores. Luckily the last two Expo's showed what would be available to purchase at the Dream Store which had a catalog of what is available. I would assume that next year's would be the same and show pictures of the merchandise for the 2013 Dream Store. The Treasure Trove store might be the one that might not show any pics of the merchandise I went straight to the Dream Store when the Expo opened on Friday just to get the merchandise and the Treasure Trove store which took away my chance to see the Disney Legend's Ceremony. Hopefully I can avoid the store's on the first day and get in the queue for the Legend's Ceremony.

That is the only problem I have with the Hilton Anaheim which is very pricey. The price of the room at the Hilton is almost close to PPH. I looked at the prices and somewhere around early August is around $239 a night. Fran is really smart to have points available for the Hilton so you don't have to pay for it.

The Premier passes were nice, but they weren't as good as the Sorcerer;s which have a lot of great offerings. At least you won't have to be in the long lines at the D23 arena and Stage 23. Waiting in those lines last year was just crazy. I believe the one that was the craziest was the Cars Land presentation. Good thing this year for the D23 membership that you can get two passes just for one membership. I have been a D23 member since it began in 2009.

So, now that Arline is gone we are discovering all kinds of "things" about her. She had a ton of secrets that she was keeping from everyone. I'd say the biggest was that her Driver's License was suspended becuase she got a (or many) ticket (s) and never appeared in court. They took her license, the City of Clovis was suing her for tickets related to unlawful use of carpool lanes. She had thousands of dollars in past due credit accounts, and the story keeps building. It's just amazing, you think you know someone.

I told Fran "NO MORE STRAYS! Unless they have four paws and a tail!"

Wow! I hope you and Fran are not libel for her fines and debts.

I cannot even find where I left off. Will check back with y'all over the weekend. This will be the end of the second week, and I am nowhere near done. Hopefully, it does not last too much longer. I would not mind if I actually liked what I was doing or if it did not take so long to drop the boys off and get there. With Xander starting school in 2 weeks, it will be even harder. It does not pay enough to justify after school care. His school is far from work in the opposite direction of my MIL's house. No more complaining from me now that all of it is off my chest. As love-ins go, it was really good. I had more wine than I would normally drink last night. And despite getting back to my room at a reasonable hour, I got disturbed 3 times last night by my colleagues who kicked on. My room was on the ground floor of the complex, near the main facilities, and the colleagues were a little noisy on the way back to their rooms. 12.30 am....1.15 am.....and 2.30 am....

I woke up at 5.45 am and couldn't go back to sleep. Might be an early night for me tonight.

Just as well I got up early, DH texted me around 6.30 am to ask how I was.
