I miss all of you at WDW by a month.:sad2: Do you all stay on-site or off? Our first trip to WDW we stayed at the Embassy Suites Orlando-Buena Vista the first night and then moved on-site.

Pretty not too far from DTD along I-4. I think there is a Doubletree close to DTD too.

Another area to check is maybe renting points from a DVC member then you'll get the transportation from the airport to the resort if you need it. A studio would probably run around $140 per night S-Th, $170 F/S, no additional taxes.

Thank you, it still is not to bad for one night. I dont think a taxi would be horrid to WDW property the next morning

Plan on being very warm to hot. Our one trip in early Oct was way humid. This CA girl about melted.:rotfl:

It's funny I was born in Orlando, but never lived there. Lived here most of my life. But when we went there in 06, Holy Smokes, my hair took a beating:rotfl2:

I know what you mean...frizz on. All my life I've had bone straight hair until the last few years, now it's getting wavy and curlier. What's up with that?

I cant stand my hair, it is naturally curly. I blow dry it straight.:headache:

I remember in my late 20s and early 30s getting perms to get some body in my hair. Too funny looking back now.:lmao:

Queenie - Did you have to send your cough my way? I woke up at 2PM coughing last night. Hope you get rid of your soon.

Yes, Queenie did you send it this way? I was talking to DS before the game and he was a little horse. I said gallup away pony. JK. :rotfl: Seriously after the game I feel a little stuffy and scratchy. Hopefully I sleep well and wake up feeling fine. I'm planning to go to Grand Teton National Park tomorrow with my DM and a couple of her freinds.

I see you there! We just checked in and got the upgrade! Yay! More free chocolate strawberries, or should I say we are eating our dues in strawberries!

Does this mean your perk is free upgrade on a DVC room or a regular room that you happend to book with extra points? Hopefully they pour you a big glass of wine to go with those strawberries.

Matt & Bret, I haven't been on the DLR boards to read about Carsland waits and stuff. We can get in at 7AM and the FP machines open at 8AM, how insane are the lines? I'm going to get our regular FPs and 2-3 instant FPs when I get up there.

It really depends. If RSR opens which has often been delayed, right away it makes RSR a short 5-15 minute waits, and likewise for Luigis. If it's has a delayed opening which can be some or all of the EMH, people will line up and wait which can make a 15 minute delay opening turn into a 30 minute EMH if you didn't get in line and hope for it to open soon. When RSR doesn't open LFT and MJJ waits climb like wise, though MJJ tops out at about 30-45 minutes and LFT can get upto 120 minutes.

EMH guests can get in the RSR FP distribution after 7:45 and be the first to get a FP even though guests are coming in for rope drop, they line up behind the EMH guests and then are put in the same line at 8am. So you can get in right before 8 and be on your way by 8:10 with a RSR FP.

Also you can ride attractions outside CL with almost no wait when people are going to RSR. If they don't let people into RSR, CL does overflow a bit and TSMM gets a horrible 15 minute wait.

That would be cool. Don't they usually offer free dining in the Fall?

Usually, yes but for as much of the Fall has decreased. They are a little less reliant on this offer.

Well, one of two ways, if you get free dining you do not get a discount on the room, and then vise versa, But I get different rates.

It is pretty complicated. Depends on how many people you have, a room with 1 person or 4 people who get free dining. Also what your room price is, which can be just value, moderate delux, but really have subgroups as well which effect price. Of course at lower end resort you get quick service, medium resort regular plan, and delux the delux dining plan, Sometimes adjusted up or down.

It is just the two of us, value resort, not like I am spending all my time in a room.

Good evening everyone.

Oh my! Hope that appointment will go by fast:thumbsup2

Really? I love going places, that lecture me on what I didn't do, what I should of done and then torture me before telling me I have to come back again.

I hope all went well and fast.

What a great description of dental appts.:thumbsup2

It's been a long day of appts for us.

Hope you had fun at the dentist, Bret.

I'm finally back on the CPU after being away since my dental appointment this afternoon. My dental appointment was actually for an implant surgery on one of my tooth. It was about an hour since they worked on it and right now my mouth is numb from the medicine. I can barely talk right now and have been eating soup for dinner tonight.

I don't like going to the dentist Matt since my father is a dentist. He can be really hard on me sometimes which makes me nervous to go see him.

Good thing that you are staying on-site since you can take advantage of EMH at the DLR hotels. I have been hearing that the lines for RSR is as long as towards the Hyperion Theater in the morning. The FPs will be gone after 9:30am in the morning from what I have been hearing. As long as you are in the line for RSR FP around 7:45am before the park opens at 8am, you should be able to get a morning or afternoon FP.

I was also going to ask you something Matt during APEE at DCA. I will be at DCA for APEE on my upcoming trip next month and my DB and his GF will be coming to the park during Rope Drop at 8am. I would assume that I can meet them with the rest of the guests at the rope drop and get their tickets and go over to RSR FP line in order to get FP for RSR.
